He should fight Volk, but Volk is ducking him apparent from his ardent refusal to acknowledge Zabit's legit wins. So you're right, it's a bad situation for him right now if he can't get any fights. The most logical path here is Kattar/Max winner, even if it means suckering up to fight Kattar again when he beat him not too long go. Kattar would be less likely to ask for a title shot given Zabit is out there with no losses.

Volk ducking Zabit? Man I'd love to hear you explain how beating Kattar should have guaranteed Zabit a title shot.

And if Zabit had any sense whatsoever he'd have been calling out Max instead of Yair. he didn't know if Kattar gets by Max he'll likely get the next shot at the winner of Volk ortega. Zabit played himself waiting around for the biggest duck since GDR.

Well if Kattar beats Max in a main event in January and Zabit still hasn't fought come the Volk ortega fight estimated to be in around February/March, then yes I'd imagine so.

Kattar already offered to fight Zabit on two weeks notice in August, but Zabit said no to the rematch. Kattar is now under the presumption that, if he beats MAx, he will skip over Zabit in line because he will have 3 top ten wins in a row since zabit last even fought. It's hard to imagine Kattar beating Max and then NOT getting a title shot.

All fair points, albeit likely moot ones, don't seem him beating Max tbh.

Very weird the way Dana answered that one. Especially at the end when he confirms Yair didn't deny the fight otherwise it would be Dana's business, which apparently it isn't. Seems like Yair will have some news for us soon. Fucking hell with this fight. I'll repeat, Zabit absolutely should've fought Max instead of Kattar.
