I'm a really small guy too, she was bigger than I am. When she frequently assaulted me, would it have been wrong to toss one back at her? I never did, just throwing that out there. A man should NEVER hit a woman, I'm oldschool like that, but when you have one fucking you up all the time...that's something else. I'm not comparing this to the Dana situation, just as an alternate argument to the white knights saying,"it's NEVER ok to retalitate against a woman". Sometimes, it absolutely is. Grabbing someone and preventing them from leaving actually is an assault. I don't think anyone should get hit, I don't think Dana should have responded by hitting her multiple times until she was knocked to the floor either (and continuing after she hit the ground). They were both in the wrong, but Dana was WAY MORE in the wrong. Dana was bullying her from the beginning holding her when she was trying to diffuse the situation by leaving, then really smacks the shit out of her when she gave him one little smack. It cracks me up the way people will justify Dana doing just about anything to her because of that one little slap she gave him. People are really anxious to either blame her or equate what the two of them did, which is laughable, because it is far from equal.

It was literally a split second of him tapping her arm when she moved away. They've been together for 40 years ffs and having an argument. Not some random he's going up and harassing. He's trying to speak to his wife, tapped her arm when she turns and she smacks him. She assaulted him.

I own a company that's been around for 90+ years. Sure, we do pretty deep background checks as well as social media checks. Any negative event needs looked at individually. If I have an employee that was in an incident like this and he/she is still with the spouse with no charges filed, I don't think I have the grounds to fire them nor would I think it's justified. If this same person hit their wife/husband and they were arrested + seperating/divorce, yes, I'd have some grounds.

It's bad enough that we intertwine everything work and social, but it's hilarious how now the overdramatic public thinks they should have a say in employment.
