Media Dana white announces UFC sitcom featuring Adam Sandler

Who is going to play Dana?
<{danayeah}>
The guys comedy writes itself.

Actually they could use a lot of mma people represented with their office counterparts.

Conor:the has been that everyone in the office loves due to past success and he certainly has ways to boost market sales despite his coky and arrogant attitude. Too bad he always has something going on and barely shows up to work.

Erick Silva: the guy who everyone calls kid despite being in his forties.

Jones: The guy who everyone knows is the best worker but gets hate due to being a known cheater. Also does coke.

Rogan: the hypeman who reacts to everything with ohhhhhhhhhh

Sanko: the blonde

Etc...

It actually makes sense that the UFC have AWESOME-O making creative decisions for WME.

These truly are the ideas of a fat kid in a cardboard box costume

Like Hustle and Uncut Gems, both of which are in the last 4 years?

Sandler is about ratios. Just Go with It, Grown Ups, Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Big Daddy, Click, Reign Over Me, Uncut Gems, Hustle, 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, Anger Management, Billy Madison.

Now sprinkle in all the god awful ones, and his ratio is pretty good. He had shit in between all those decent to good movies. Literally no way of knowing if it will be good or bad.
Some hits but his four film deal with Netflix was legendarily bad. And they were mostly comedies. That doesn't really inspire confidence that he wouldn't phone it in for a UFC show helmed by WME folks.

What, like Hustle?
You know, the last sports related thing that Sandler produced and starred in (2022), and has been a huge success critically and economically?
I mean more like his comedy film run with Netflix right before. I'd guess a UFC show would be more like that.

You realize the main reason Adam Sandler is being floated is because he's repped by WME. And his agent's roster doesn't really scream quality over quantity.

You realize attaching Sandler to this is easily a net positive, right?

That's all that matters.

I have a feeling they’ll leave out the part where the creepy bald boss makes advances on all the female employees and fighters in exchange for career advancement. But hey, it worked out for Laura Sanko.

I’d guess that the UFC fanbase’s biggest demographic(30+ year old white men) was very pro-Sandler in the 90s and early 2000s. His movies were silly, but they were huge. He built some serious wealth from dumb movies.
yes but that has been over 20 years since he was last funny and almost 10 years since his last hit comedy. I think Pixel was his last comedy that made decent money but he had turkeys like Little Nicky, Jack & Jill, Ridiculous Six, and You Dont Mess with Zohan.

Dana still thinks that his fanbase is stuck in nu-metal Kyle mode from the late 90s and early 2000s

I predict that there will be a very charismatic boss character who is generally right about everything, but has to deal with the awful public who thinks bad things about him.
Yes and Union members will be the bad guys indeed

what's next? open an amusement park for kids and a UFC hot dog restaurant chain? i feel like Dana is just phoning it in while the dummies in WME/IMG throw out these ideas. i only say that because all this weird shit only started happening once WME/IMG took over. before that everything was about the UFC and growing the UFC brand.
A UFC University literally called University of Fucking Combat ?

Might be interesting. But for added realism the main character should also work as an Uber driver on the side to make ends meet.

Ufc just does everything but make their product better or the conditions of their fighters.

Dana basically abandoning the main mission for side quests lol
