News Dana White announces Derrick Lewis has signed new 8-fight deal

Better than 5k/5k or 2,500/2,500 in Boxing.
Not when you consider the UFC is supposed to be the big leagues in mma, and considering how mma is bigger than soccer according to dana. Hell cricket players in India make way more than mma'ers.

I didn't know Derrick Lewis making 12k/12k. Jesus Christ, I wonder what he would've got signing with Bellator or PFL.
The entire quote I posted BY YOU, never mentioned Derrick. You were speaking of the UFC as a whole and I showed you the numbers you shills like to ignore. Again if the UFC the top dog in mma, why they pay so little peanuts? 12k/12k is shit for cte, which is really on 12k for the loser.

Who gets 12k/12k? You're making like the entire UFC roster is making that solely based on that number. Your hatred for Dana & the UFC is clouding our judgement. You brought up the number 12k/12k. That sounds wrong because the top fighters in the org are makings fucking millions wether you believe it or not, they really are. But yes, stick to that 12/12 number. Whatever helps you sleeps at night buddeh.

Cant believe that. Why wouldnt he look to see that PFL offer.

Yes he's had a good run with them and likes being in UFC and is probably paid well but you cold sign a 3 fight deal in PFL and make good money. Get Francis fight, win you get a rematch, you lose and then maybe fight one of these other guys for a nice check.

This one is surprising.

Yes, he's fun. Yes, he's marketable. Yes, he produces fun fights, exciting finishes and is a knockout holder, and all that.

The reason the UFC signed him to that big of a deal is simple. Keep him away from Ngannou.

Their first fight was a snoozer, but it's still a win Lewis holds over Ngannou and a rematch would do big business outside the UFC ( huge contract on the line, better storyline than their first fight, big, fun fight for casuals and hardcores alike).
Dana will do anything to deprive Ngannou of worthwhile opponents.

I don't think that's the real reason. That's maybe #10 on the list. I don't think a rematch of literally one of the worst fights in UFC history is atop anyone's list of priorities.
In an org that casuals don't even know exist.

Pay hundreds of thousands to make millions.

Or as Prop Joe told Omar, "this is a real simple fucking business we're in; we buy for a nickel and sell for a dime".

Ngannou has nothing to do with it, OP.

Or because he had a cool flying knee and a performance of the night on his last fight of his contract?

or maybe its the UFC has no depth at HW and losing one of the few marketable, fan favourite names would be bad for business
