News Dana says Jones VS Alex is not happening

Where did he say "it's not happening" definitively?

It feels like he's warming up to the idea. Won't be surprised if in 3 months he says "The fight is on, Jones gave me his word he won't bail out" or something along those lines.

Certainly doesn't seen like they are in any rush to make Pereira vs Ulberg which strengthens the case they may have something else in the works for him.

It took 13 years since UFC 151 for Dana to finally admit that a guy who's been banned for PEDs and a history of criminal behaviors can no longer be counted on to headline the most historic UFC card
 
He doesn't sound as against the idea as he once was. Seems like he could warm up to the idea at 205. He just wants Jones to get his shit together.

Dana had no problem shitting on Jones publicly for years and he trashed him in the depositions for the antitrust suit that were released.

This weird stuff where he started defending him as the GOAT only started recently.

Same thing happened to Roy Jones, His last name is also Jones, I mean its an open and shut case!
 
Jones should fight against someone, maybe Curtis blades in March and if he's a good boy who shows up then he can fight at the White House.

I agree, he has to stay at heavy weight which is why I feel like hed only get the fight with pereira if Alex were to relinquish first with this being both retirement fights. UFC has no benefit to debuffing poatans draw power while he's holding a title. (Should Jones win)

He wants a big money fight at the white house. Those are the only two.
 
He wants big money. Hence his possible willingness to fight at 205. Dana wants to increase Alex's chances of winning and thats why he is warming up to the idea at 205. They are gonna have to compromise on the details to make this happen.
