Cormier literally just tried to lay on Silva the whole fight. If the Ref didn't stand em up, we would of had a whole fight of Cormier laying on someone. Also, if Silva had more weight on him, I think he could've stopped Cormier takedowns and TKO'd him. 48 hours just wasn't enough time for Silva to prepare for anything.

I hope Silva is getting paid close to or if not the same than Cormier. He deserves it, he gave Cormier an easy win and gave UFC a proper draw for 200;but, the fight was the biggest dud of the night by far.

Actually, he did, Daniel was throwing elbows and they weren't even getting through. But you can't ignore that Silva was underweight and couldn't work his way off the ground.

People knew Silva was underweight and being pinned down by Cormier and they wanted to see Cormier strike with Silva. Thats why they were booing

It's easy to say this in hindsight after a less than stellar fight. But I agree that this was a silly fight to make, and considering how short notice it was, I wasn't surprised that the fight was a letdown. But the majority of fans beg the UFC for theses kind of replacements when a big fight falls through, and I guess the UFC needed this fight to help boost the sales. So I don't fault the UFC, and I'm glad Cormeir still got to fight after training his ass off. Silva also deserves a lot of credit for stepping up and hanging in there.
