Dana needs to pay his fighters, otherwise they will jump over to be fed to Jake Paul to get that retirement cheque.

Jake Paul knows fighters might as well be on welfare with the scraps Dana feeds them, clearly using this to his advantage.

He makes a shit ton of money, as well as knocking out a know UFC fighter. In T Wood’s case, an ex champ.

Since when are they HIS fighters and HIS payroll. If you don’t even know what you’re talking about just STFU.

Askren was retired and Woodley got cut. Dana won’t let any of his guys go box him just like he shut down GSP/Hoya.

Ex fighters then, if he actually paid them in the first place. They wouldn’t be lining up to get KO’d in a boxing ring against and internet sensation would they.

The organizations that pay a ton of money for these fights won’t last though. Look at that joke of a company triller that lost so much money they are trying to sue every person who streamed the fight. Companies like that will go bankrupt before they even get started. They paid fighters too much and hired a bunch of entertainers.
With all that said ufc fighters should get paid more.

Last I checked the fighters have the option to sign or not sign a contract for x amount of dollars. Don't like the pay, don't sign the contract. Go work at Dairy Queen.

Fighter pay is a major problem for the UFC. It won't improve until Dana realizes its a problem.

LOL did not even know Woodley was released. No surprise. Well, like Askren he can go get a bigger payday than he's ever gotten from the UFC. Woodley is WAY more dangerous of a striker than Askren. Hmmm, this could be the first time since Woodley played the BS race card on the UFC that I've rooted for him...

He could have doubled or tripped Woodleys career pay and he would still take the paul fight. Huge money is huge money; hence why Floyd is taking his Paul fight

Jake signed to Showtime Sports. It's not going to be on Triller. Showtime does legit fights, Jake will be fighting legit fighters on Showtime. He'll most likely fight a boxer after Woodley, most likely a potential fight with Tommy Fury.

Jake Paul signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime Sports, he already completed his multi-fight deal with Triller.

I think you misunderstood my point. It wasnt about Jake and what he is doing. I was responding to TS about saying Dana needs to pay fighters more or they will all just go do these entertainment boxing matches for big bucks. I didn’t even mention Jake in my post lol.

That's what sucks about corporations owning fight clubs. These guys are just employees of money hungry bastards, and it's not just the UFC. Building a brand on peoples' blood is grim, especially when billion dollar+ companies are paying many of its' fighters the equivelent of minimum wage. Yeah, it's their choice to sign on the dotted line, but it's still wicked.

My bad, the post was about fighters going to Triller looking for a pay day, so just wanted to clarify this fight is on Showtime and not Triller. Depending on how Woodley does on the fight will affect future match up possibilities with Triller/Showtime with mma fighters fighting in boxing. If Woodley loses badly they can't keep entertaining these type of match ups. Woodley better take his training seriously for this fight and hopefully he isn't just there for a paycheck. MMA community really needs Woodley to win.

These "poor posts" make Sherdog money in ad revenue every time someone clicks in general, whether you like it or not.

This forum is filling a niche for people to get things off their chest and blow off steam after work.

Fuck Jake Paul and freakshow boxing.
On a side note Ithink fighter pay is fair, though fighters may need to find other ways to make money after they retire. Have a lifeline after career is over.
