Think of these things from the pov of a business. Those are things you don’t do. Not if you’re smart. It doesn’t matter if every single fighter in the UFC says Fedor is in the GOAT conversation. The President of the company CAN’T/WON’T say that.

Dana is a massive asshole some times. But you can’t honestly expect him to do stuff like that. Take your feelings out of it. If you don’t instantly understand that’s not how successful businesses work. Then you’ll never understand it.

Hate Dana for any just reason. But you’re so far off the mark here. When was the last time you heard the head honcho of Burger King tell the whole world that McDonalds might even be better? I had a burger there and thought it was as good or better than our burgers. You should all go and try one. Or the head of Ford telling everybody that new GM car they designed is in the top 3 cars I’ve ever driven. Coke/Pepsi.. When have they ever given the other company free publicity?

The thing is, Dana doesn't actually have to say anything, the respectful thing to say would be he had a great career and I wish him the best, instead he chose to be petty and downplay his achievements.

His whole business model is based on saying UFC have superior competition and that people that don't accept their peanuts are afraid to fight the 'best in the world'
 
I think Fedor is the HW GOAT, but I don't blame Dana for saying he isn't. Re: MW/LHW Hendo, I have GSP as the overall GOAT & some say he got knocked out by LW shortie Serra. Hendo is more accomplished at MW/LHW than Serra was at LW, but I still think GSP is the GOAT. Honestly, its not unusual for 1 of the GOATs to have a loss that looks bad on paper. On 1 hand, I'm quite impressed somehow Jones has never had a real loss (though I do think Reyes deserved the nod), on the other hand, I know its super divided amongst fans re: Jones PEDs
 
Dana's opinion on the GOAT can't be taken serious anyway. He'll call anyone and everyone the GOAT if it sells a fight for him.

Excellent question that proves how bad Dana wanted Fedor. However I definitely see both sides of there argument on why they didn't agree to a contract.
 
Dana and his slap fighting is a black eye to combat sports, I can't wait for the day he's done and gone, a real piece of shit.
 
lol, the funny thing is the hate I see on Sherdog for people like Rogan, Dana, etc. is ironic since I see the exact same statements on Sherdog from historied posters.

I dont agree Fedor is GOAT but taking the word of the bald father is risky at best.
 
The same guy that said he was obsessed with signing Fedor and when he didn't get his way, didn't think he was anything special.

If Fedor had signed with UFC, you better believe UFC would have promoted him as the best fighter to ever live until they got tired of him and then fed him to someone on the prelims like they did to Shogun.
