Exactly. I'm one of the biggest JDS fans around, and I'm not offended by the statement. He's not saying it the way Sherdoggers say "Gatekeeper", meaning someone who is not elite. He means literal gate keeper, as in someone who a rising fighter would have to beat in order to prove they are ready for a shot at the title.

Kind of confusing considering Werdum/Browne, neither fought or beat jds. And say Barnett or Schaub face jds next, I doubt one of those guys will get the shot either. Maybe in the case of a miocic. Overeem??
