Dan Hardy just told the truth (twitter)

Yeah...let's put a boring decision as main instead of a guaranteed finish

Doubt it's that

But perfect way to fix it is have them both fighting in the octagon against their opponents

Jones and GSP getting more attention right now so little Connie is throwing a temper tantrum.

Its a factor but over the last 20 years of UFC fights, 99% of the time weight is the determining factor on bout order. A Middleweight title fight main events over a Welterweight title fight. Its the way it has always been done.

Not with Conor though, and I guess that could be the issue. His fight with Aldo got the nod over Weidman/Rockhold. He thinks with his clout he should be main event, period maybe? I don't know. And if he does think that, I'm not saying he's wrong (or that he's right). But it COULD be something that matters to him.

OOOOOOH SNAAAAAAAP. Makes sense GSP sounded extremely happy and excited yesterday on MMA Hour and it seemed there was something small holding up the deal from being announced. I don't think it's that though I think he doesn't want to be clowned at the presser. What can he honestly say to promote this fight? It's at 170 again and nobody seems to give him a chance in the rematch myself included. He wouldn't be able to play any head games or talk any shit at the presser all Nate has to say is I turned you into a wrestler and finished you in two. All I know is there is no way in hell Conor is actually retiring right now in that way it was obviously an impulsive tweet from a very hard bargainer. It's a leverage move pure and simple.

Not likely true or we would have heard about it by now don't you think. On the outside chance it is true though, that would be crazy for McGregor to retire at 27 because GSP bumped him to Co-Main. I mean we are talking biggest ego of all time because the higher weights almost always main event over the lower weights. Didn't GSP himself Co-Main at UFC 100 because Lesnar, the larger fighter, was the main event?
His huge ego is the exact thing that would make him retire at 27. But... That same ego will mean he'll make a comeback in like a year

The truth is that Dan Hardy was not a legit contender and had no business being in the cage with GSP.
Hardy had rolled over everyone the UFC put in front of him at the time. At the time of his title shot there was no one that deserved the shot more.
