Damn This Rashad Interview Is Sad

Damn. Hope he finds happiness soon. This one is sitting heavy.

:(:(:(
Rashads been a huge part of the UFC for a long time now but it ain't all bad.

He's quite good in the studio and has a good career ahead of him that way

Man, I always liked Rashad so that was hard to watch. He just seems like such a cool cat.
Sucks to see a good guy have to go through this. I almost never say that fighters should retire but I honestly think that would be the best thing for Rashad.

Hopefully if he doesn't retire, Joe Silva matches him up appropriately because he's struggling big time with the top guys at LHW now.

Oh man... :(

I absolutely hate to say this but he will probably never get back the "thing".

Looked like he was almost about to cry... poor guy. I wonder if he can get back to his old self but I think father time is winning

unfortunately that "thing" is fast twitch muscle and its lost with age. rashad had a UFC career 95% of fighters would kill for and is great in the booth. way better than stann or even the goofball chael. i hope when hes thinking about his career he realizes this and progresses to his next phase in life.

Fuck.... true emotion is powerful shit.

Sounds like he's about th cry I've always been a Rashad fan sucks to see him lose like that

Fuck to see a mean yurn from his soul like this is no laughing matter

Fighting is the hardest sport to retire from as fighters are full of pride and most cant accept that time defeats everyone. He got older, slower and more injury prone. It happens to pretty much every fighter if they stay long enough. Rashad has always seemed like a smart guy and I hope he realize he is just past it and focus on the media side of the game which he is great at

Damnit, towards the end of the interview he seems more like one of those guys who has seen his end but still wants to see that paycheck

I really hope Rashad isnt one of those guys that stay in this sport 5+ years longer than they should have

Man... I'm not even a fan of Rashad... and that was quite a punch in the gut

This is why you respect the fuck out of these fighters. To do what they do is amazing.

...

...

Even if they are Jon Jones.

Jones gave Rashad some props too

Cage fighting requires a lot of mental and emotional focus. Shad's mind and heart have not been in the game for a long time now and you can tell. That's not a knock. He's had some personal problems that > work. It's tough seeing him either take this loss so hard, or pretend that the loss is what he's taking so hard. I was late to the Team Shad, but I wish him peace.

Maybe if u had solid fundamentals and technique to fall back on like any semblance of sound footwork and striking outside of counter overhand right you'd have better longevity as ur physical attributes declined.
