Am I missing something. I searched but didn't find what I was looking for.

She has expressed refusal to face the UFC champion all of a sudden? What is the "connection"?

Correct me if/ where I am wrong.

Amanda trained out of AMA in New Jersey and is now training in Miami, Florida at MMA masters.
Christine started at Chutebox, and as far as I know is training somewhere in San Diego? That isn't exactly next door USA. There is 2,000 miles separating the two. I am unaware that they have ever been training partners at any point in their MMA careers, have they trained together?

I know Brazil is a huge country, and I may not be as geographically sound of the nation. From the best I can tell it appears that Salvador Bahia is ~ 1,000 miles from Curitiba. Where did their relationship that does not allow them to compete develop?

scissors relationship...

I personally don't want to see this fight.

Cyborg just want to make points. She just don't care about the belt.

Why not just call her a coward from your chair, and stop being so passive aggressive about it? Sheesh.

Maybe they have been "special friends" in the past.

She's such good friends that in the run up to the Tate/Nunes fight Cyborg didnt say anything in favor of Nunes and instead talked about wanting to fight Tate in NYC. Now that's close.

Its quite simple. Amanda has power and can throw a real punch. Cyborg wants no part of a women with decent standup who is within 30 lbs of her on fight night.

Come on people. Ronda, Miesha, Holly are. Money fights. ..... Amanda is not nearly as much. Cyborg want the big money fight and that only happens against one of them. ...... Ronda being a million or more and to change her bum life.

I'm not being passive aggressive. How's this for "In your face up front". Honestly from the best I can tell, it is a nationality issue.
I had disdain for the way that Anderson Silva handled this issue and anyone that found his "begrudging" BS "fights" against fellow countrymen Damien Maia, or Leites!
That has NOTHING to do with MMA, and is a FAKE B.S. YOU KNOW WHAT!

If all Brazilians so loved one another that the concept of competing in MMA against one another is unacceptable at a national level, they wouldn't have the crime rate and gangs running Rio FFS!

If every USA citizen had this mentality, and could NEVER face another fellow US citizen in the Octagon in an MMA rules contest, do you all realize that the UFC does not exist? FUCK this fake BS lie! OK?

Have you EVER heard of a US citizen 100% refusing to fight another US citizen out of national pride? WTF? It is always an existing friendship, blood relationship and or training partners that have expressed disinterest in facing one another in an MMA contest.

Maybe Americans are secretly "better" than these foreign savages who don't want to fight each other.

I appreciated Silva's stance and if Cyborg has the same stance, I appreciate it too. All the fights I want to see her in are with non-Brazilians anyway....

And this is indeed your prerogative.

From an MMA practitioner signed to a UFC contract, it is undeniably as very stupid stance, and one that I have no tolerance for. Look, Nationality is NOT a part of MMA regardless of your personal feeling.

It is NOT an Olympic sport, or a sport contested in world championships as nation vs nation, and that is simple fact. Brazilians may WISH for MMA to eventually evolve into a world sport contested by national teams, but the fact remains, at this time it does not!

Do you disrespect fighters like Machida and Shogun for going to war in the Octagon as fellow Brazilians?
Is Shogun a traitor for the violence he inflicted on Little Nog or Arona?
Should Werdum be condemned for being willing to go against a Brazil legend like Big Nog?
Should JDS face criminal charges for what he did to fellow Brazilian traitor Werdum?

Nope, they are all MMA fighters and not too stupid to go on a tangent like she is right now.

Bless your heart Cyborg for loving you fellow country women, but not quite as much as she loves the almighty US dollar!

Cyborg said she'd fight at 140 again if it was against a champion in addition to the other names. Now that Amanda is champion, she's suddenly not interested. Quack.

Nope, no problem with Brazilians fighting each other either. No problem either way. I just want to see great fights. If the day comes where the only great fights left are Brazilians fighting each other (or teammates fighting each other or anyone else fighting each other), I'll be vocal about wanting that.

Until that day, I just need great fights and I don't personally care why a fighter won't fight another. Just make another fight. At least it works for me.

Btw, I understand your logic. I'm not bothered by this as you are, but I do get where you're coming from.
