Cyborg will wipe the floor with Amanda Nunez

Before the fight, I BELIEVE, I could be wrong but, Amanda was all about going up in weight and get a title match, but after Cyborg became champion, she was all happy about defending her belt. You know, big difference between Cyborg, and everyone else at that weight class.

I think what might have happened was, after Cyborg struggling to put Holm away she might have gained enough confidence to think that she could have a shot. And some of her fans seem to think that she actually have a shot, and Cyborg is ducking her.

There are obviously lot of fighters not wanting to fight someone, and some of them more fucked up than the other, like kevin fighting old fighters but ducking Romero
, I mean, I don't blame anyone ducking any fearsome fighters, I don't care, it's their life and all.

But, if there ever was a case of someone not ducking someone because they think they will lose, it's Cyborg.
Cyborg says a lot of crazy shit, I don't know if she means it, but it's not because she thinks she will lose or anything, in my opinion.

Match ups make fights, Holly actually put up a good fight, but Nunez fight coming forward. Cyborg fight come forward. Holly fight GREAT fighting backward.

Cyborg will beat the fuck down Nunez.

I think she'll open up less than -300 which means Nunes may not be a walk over and I got news for you, Amanda will be the hardest puncher that cyborg has faced and it'll be interesting if Nunes can connect early and actually do some damage.Itll be waters that the borg' s toes hasn't been dipped in yet

Cyborg had a pro kickboxing fight with Jorina Baars who I seem to recall being considered the best female kickboxer on the planet (not a big female combat sports fan, tbh). She ate a flush head kick directly on the jaw. Fell down, got back up immediately and continued marching forward. She has a monster jaw and is an amazing counter puncher that doesn't get tired.

Nunes is gonna get raped (par-tial... homo?). There is no female on the planet right now that can even come close to Cyborg inside the Octagon. The fact that Nunes is apparently so eager to fight Cyborg has me mildly impressed, though.

I think Nunes could win that fight. She probably hits harder than Cyborg. I've yet to see a clean knockout from Cyborg and Amanda has done that (at 145 against the Bellator champion). Cyborg has better cardio but she has yet to get punched that hard in a fight. I think it's closer than people think.

The only time Holly's fought great going backwards was against Ronda, against everyone else she was actually more effective going forward than backwards. The myth that Holly's a great counter-fighter needs to die; she's a high volume outside fighter, not a counter-striker.

I think the fight will be surprisingly even for as long as Amanda's gas tank holds up. Unlike Holly, Amanda can actually hit with power so Cyborg will have to respect that, she can't simply walk through punches to land her own harder punches like she did against Holm. Also, Amanda's footwork and shot selection is a lot better than Holly's, she's not throwing the same predictable combo from 5' out of range with no setup, she actually adjusts her combos and uses feints & footwork to get the right distance on them. Nunes is also harder to hit than you think, Shevchenko actually had to work and make a number of adjustments to land counters on her, whereas against Holm she just check hooked her in the face and did the same thing for 5 rounds.

Bingo. There are ways for both fighters to win. Cyborg's best bet will be to push the pace early and try to kill Amanda's gas tank to setup a later round finish. For Nunes, she needs to land hard early and make Cyborg respect her power, and either finish her if she can hurt Cris or slow the pace way down and turn it into a low paced technical striking match like her rematch with Valentina.

I went through the Tim Hortons drive through today, and they messed up my order. But before you get really upset on my behalf wait for the kicker.

I got the ham and Cheddar lunch combo with coffee and donut. I asked for a chocolate dip. When she handed me the bag with my donut in it she even said "and your chocolate dip." so for that reason I didn't check.

When I reach my destination I drink half my coffee and when I retrieve my donut what do I discover?! A chocolate dip? Nope. A DOUBLE CHOCOLATE!!!! The donut I probably should have ordered in the first place.

The moral to this story, obviously, is that I think Nunes can take her.

There's like 60 professional 145lbs girls and yes they are lower in skill but you gotta start bringing them in and taking the best and putting them in with Cyborg. She deserves opponents in her class and if she is THAT much better than so be it. You can't penalize someone because they are the best.
