so why would the UFC keep paying her? They had her on the roster to make a Ronda superfight, now that is nuked, why pay Cyborg $100k a fight when there is really no way to recoup that investment now.

Zuffa may keep her under contract to prevent Bellator from picking her up. They have a 145lb weight class for the women. Julia Budd would be a decent fight for Cyborg.

the UFC will never make a 145 class, it is just too shallow. Fightmatrix couldn't even make a top 15 list (used to be only top 10) until recently because there are that few fighters at 145.

They have no interest in spending $100k a fight to keep her away from Bellator's terrible 145 class that is worth just a fraction of that. Julia Budd was already destroyed by Ronda, anyway. The only reason they were keeping her around was in the hopes of making the right with Ronda.

Its the reason they started investing more into WMMA, including signing up-n-comers like Ronda and even promoting women's Bantamweight in the first place.

Cyborg is GOAT WMMA fighter and always has been. You can't Jump a fighter who was number 1 without them losing or you fighting them (Ronda jumped Cyborg, Brock jumped Fedor, both ZUffa hype and both got Retards to believe it). It just doesn't work that way. Holly is a beast and I would love to see Holly vs Cyborg.
