As we saw with Ronda, you can't learn what a fighter is truly made of when they're steamrolling lesser competition. You find out when they get put in front of a crafty pain in the ass like Holly. Where Ronda obviously failed that test, Cyborg showed she has the gas to go 5 rounds, she has patience, and can fight intelligently.

I don't know why Rogan felt the need to try to undercut a great performance by insinuating that weight was the biggest factor. Obviously Cyborg is walking around a lot heavier, but Holly is no dwarf at 145. She won world boxing titles at 154 and 147. She never competed at 135 until she switched over to MMA, and the UFC only had a 135lb division at the time.

Cyborg is likely going to outweight anyone she fights at 145. So what? Every UFC division has guys or girls that are big, small and medium for a division.

Agree with 99% of your post. Cyborg has been legit for a while. Ronda ducked her. GDR forfeited her belt to avoid a fight with Cyborg. She beat Coenen twice, Carano when she was on top, Baszler before she sucked ass. I'm sure I'm missing a few, but just because Cyborg's opponents haven't all been #1 contenders, doesn't take anything away from her. If you just watched her fight over the years, you could tell she was special. It truly did not matter who the opponent was.

I don't know what's wrong with trusting your eyes and brains. Yep, Holly's punches are pretty weak. If that's what's world class in female boxing, then female boxing sucks. Cyborg is just one of those female fighters who has power that somewhat equals men's MMA.

And I don't know what's so hard to believe about the fact that she can be strong in the clinch, while still not possessing great punching power. Ever since the early UFC with bodybuilders or wrestlers against kickboxers we know that. It's both training and genetics. In this case, probably training - we've seen from her social media that Holly is pretty big on strength & conditioning.

Either way, Holly was a legit 145lbs fighter in there. She wasn't physically small at all vs Cyborg. Cyborg just outclassed her.
