I don't like it either but we have to look at it from the fighters perspective.

For 95% of guys, this is your single biggest platform to sell yourself. They don't get UFC sponsored marketing. You have to shoot your shot. I'll take a scripted promo over begging for money.

Truth is we shouldn't be sticking a microphone in anyone's face for thoughts and opinions after they just went through a fight. We could probably be more forgiving to the fact that after adrenaline dumping and getting hit in the head 100 times they might not be ready for an interview.

Yes it is corny but honestly I prefer it over Rogan asking if anything surprised them in the fight / if the finishing sequence was something they trained for or if they just saw it in the moment... Then they ignore the question and personally thank everyone they know. At least some of these guys are trying not to be boring.

This. At least if they do a character, we might get some entertaining clips. Rogan’s “take a look at the big screen, did anything surprise you in this fight?” Followed by “no Joe, this guy’s a warrior, super tough kid, he’ll be back no doubt, respect” etc etc is just a waste of time.
