However you want to cut it up. What got me thinking of this was going over MMA records and noticing Jake Ellenberger lost 7 of his last 9 fights.

That has to be among the worst right? I know BJ Penn also lost 7 of his last 9 (only winning one, the other was a draw), but it is spread out over more time since he retired for a while.

I think these are some of the only guys who can get away with recent records like this. If guys don’t have any name value, the UFC will usually just cut them.

Somehow wmma overall ends up with a losing record even though technically you should have a win for each loss.

Arlovski is on his way, current 1-5

I’m hoping he beats Struve, but don’t think he will. Arlovski can be a hell of an entertaining fighter to watch. Struve is boring as hell. Plus with his size, experience level, and relatively young age he should be a champion, not struggling to stay ranked. But he stinks. He’ll use his superior reach to keep Arlovski away and yawn his way to a decision win. Then next fight if he gets a higher ranked opponent he’ll get his ass beat or fight some unranked guy as his potential continues to be wasted.

BJ probably. 5 fight losing streak. 1-7-1 in his last 9.

Josh Burkman.

Dude is 1-7 in his last 8 with 5 fight losing streak.
It looks like Burkman is winning this so far. Also, if Hector Lombard didn’t get popped for roids he would be 8 and 1 in his last 9 fights. However, Lombard’s win was turned into a no contest.

I’m curious to see if anyone can catch up. Wouldn’t be surprised if BJ Penn loses another fight or two, but I’m hoping they really give him a bum for his next fight since UFC doesn’t look like they’ll cut him.

Struve might be the least athletic guy on the roster. If AA comes out in a pimp suit with his bitch slap glove on, he should take it.
