Yan isn't the champion currently.2021 wins all of them except Cruz vs Sterling who would be a loss for the fans.
Yan beats the crap out of any version of Cruz

Because Cruz was clearly just as good in 2020 as he was in his prime. It's not like he was old for a BW and had multiple serious injuries that caused him to have to sit out for years or anythingVolkanoski is a pitter-patter cardio kickboxer. Aldo beats him from pillar to post.
And LMAO at the clowns like Chlen Sosonen thinking Cruz has anything for Yan. If Cejudo knocked him out, Yan would eviscerate him. Shertards undervalue Yan greatly, because he spends the first 1-2 rounds carefully feeling his opponent out, but once Yan begins the real onslaught, there's no stopping him.
He absolutely is, unless you're insane.
He's the champ in the same way Jones is undefeated and will be officially champ again soon.Volkanoski is a pitter-patter cardio kickboxer. Aldo beats him from pillar to post.

Cruz wins, bad matchup for Sterling.
Aldo wins, but only just. Volk is extremely good. Either could win, but I would favour a prime-ish Aldo. (2009 was probably a bit early for Prime Aldo, but he was close-ish.) Volk could definitely out gameplan him though.
Usman smashes Condit.
Filho was good, depends on which version of him shows up though. Izzy wins against both versions, but the not-crazy version of Filho gives him a decent fight,
Pettis vs Oliveira is legit interesting, I think Oliveira would win, but it's not a blowout. Oliveira doesn't exactly have the pressure of RDA, and Pettis was no slouch on the ground. Either could take it, but I would favour Charles.
My picksWho wins these matchups?

Agreed on most other than Filho having lost it in 2007. His decline was rapid but IMO didn't happen till after the first Sonnen fight.Wow.
Cruz/Aldo/Pettis in their primes would all be favored at this point.
Usman unquestionably over Condit.
Prime Filho in Pride was an animal, but he'd already lost it by the time he got to the WEC.
Philo lost his last title defence to Chael but missed weight. He certainly was not the last champ IMO. There is precedent for only one fighter to be eligible for the title on the line.Who wins these matchups?
