Current Best Chins

Yesterday's war between Lopes and Silva was amazing and Lopes's chin was on full display. He might have the best one in the game now and it got me thinking who are some of the current immortal fighters that seem to have uncrackable chins. Lots of fighters have lost/shown weakness with their freakish chins (Holloway being dropped frequently, Chito getting dropped by Figgy, Ige getting hurt by Pitbull, Geoff Neal getting spinning elbowed, Kattar getting buzzed lots now, Hooker getting dropped by Gamrot et, Vettori getting buzzed multiple times by Brendan Allen etc...)

At the moment I'd say Pantoja and Lopes have the best chins.

I think you will find best chins amongst Latino´s exclusively Mexicans or US latino´s. I don´t know what it is? IS it the food? climate or genetics. Even in Boxing you can find legendary Mexican chins. The Diaz bros also use to have legendary chins

Vettori has to be up there. He has been stunned a bit here and there, but never dropped much less KO'd. The punishment he endured against Cannonier seems impossible.

I think his durability is pretty much beyond reproach unless you grasp at straws, which it's also possible to do with Lopes and Pantoja.

He automatically moves up to top 2-3 best chins on the roster for that fight alone. He ate fight ending bombs for 15 minutes. Roy Nelson-esque with the not going to sleep, Joe.

Ya Vettori definitely has a freak chin, I don't think its what it once was but its still better than 90% of fighters.

When Mark Hunt ate a full on Mirko LHK and it didnt do ANYTHING, I was like...

"DId that honestly just happen? WTF"

cos it did drop him before, in k-1, even though he was able to answer the 10 count it fucked up him up.

But in the PRIDE rematch, Hunt just ate that shit, and asked for more.

Canelo is a great boxer with an elite chin that's for sure.

Silva- who looked 8 pounds lighter
Multiple times against Volk - who isn't a hard hitter
I think even once against Ortega

I say he has a really good chin and poor defense.
But his composure and recovery is god tier.

Gastelum comes to mind, but he was knocked down by Pyfer lately. But he takes about everything and is a fat welterweight fighting bigger guys.
While 5'11 Lopes cuts a ton of weight against 5'6 Volk and 5'7 Silva, having a weight advantage.

For the last few years, I havent been able to tell if he quit, cried, or got KO'd- or any combination of the three. But I did notice a few days ago that he kinda facebutts Amir's head right before the finish.

Still not the greatest look, though.
