Cupcake Tate

No way. She had a huge size advantage and still couldn't get a win. She should transition to OF like Page if she hasn't already.

She fought like a she devil but it was a bad matchup imo
I think she still has some fights in her at 38- but it was either a bad game plan or she threw it out the window and went berserker
She also had a really long lay off

Thoughts?
Did you see what happened to her thigh when she got kicked?
Looked like burnt shriveled meat but pale, looked like a 70 year old, old lady leg, a skinny one too.

Like GSP formerly said to Matt Hughes...we know the rest of that quote.

Still much love for a strong AF competitor with the class, manners, and good sportsmanship that puts her in a league miles above many fighters (yes you RR).
I still look up her nudes from time to time. All I can say about her
When Meisha gave IIRC those 4 high school dudes the opportunity to square up and battle her...And NONE Could Hang with her - my full respect for her as a confident athelete was solidified. Woulda loved, at age 13,14 or so, to be given that opportunity, knowing she'd have hurt my feelings but NEVER damage my bad to the bone physical being.

Tate seemed pretty game still, pressured pretty good and never quit. Didn't fight like an old vet. Her striking and offense is sort of dog shit, even when she landed her hardest strike clean it was like her opponent ate it like nothing. Tate's only future is gritting out tough decisions or subbing girls who don't have sub defense.

When you are super inactive and pushing 39-year-old it's generally a terrible idea to continue in MMA. But then again this is WMMA ayooooo.

Yeah her stopping power has always been dreadful. I suppose she can continue to look competitive against bottom of the roster if she desperately needs money. Otherwise what's the point? Tates time at the top has come and gone

The money is the only point.

No one at that age/stage of their career needs to be doing this shit to themselves for any other reason, which is really sad commentary on an ex-champion who is one of the most important figures in growing WMMA as a marketable commodity needing the paydays and not having other options when they aren't even 40.

You'd think the UFC could throw her a bone like they did with so many other less important fighters (they gave Michelle Waterson and Anthony Smith commentary jobs), but seems to be a about how much of a company man/woman you were than how important a fighter you were and how much money you made the organization.

Maybe she just enjoys it? There’s nothing wrong with competing for yourself. Weekend warriors pay to participate in local kickboxing / jiu jitsu competitions every weekend and go full on for nothing but the self development.

Favorite Cupcake moment is when my Gurl Cat Zingano gave her a BEATDOWN!
