Living Colour - Cult Of Personality delves into that with intelligence.
ya, but so many cults were at their peaks when the main guy was still alive. Death usually adds a dimension of immortality and reverence to the idea of the figure. And I suppose there are times when guys are completely forgotten about or times when they were nothing in life and become gods in death. It certainly happens to some rockstars, both Michael Jackson and Elvis were widely seen as jokes at the ends of their lives and as soon as they were dead they were akin to holy figures. It's strange for sure, death makes all of us see others differently, I'm always reminding myself of that when someone who's still living gets on my nerves.Isn't the difference just if the founder is still alive?

Real cult leaders -
okay by that logic at what point do the "influenced group of people" become a cult?
since I came up with it on the spot.
Lol i can tell
Okay.... whats your answer to your own question?
I think there is very little difference
It is ultra exclusive and I can't even join, but it is for the best LOL
