Forgive me if this has been posted before, but this is a pretty smoking deal on really solid training gloves. I think I spent $50 on mine. MMA Hybrid Training Gloves from Combatsports.com
Do you guys think this is another one of those times where if you're quick you actually get what they advertise but otherwise you get garbage? Hell I don't even train MMA that much but I'd buy a pair of gloves for 12.95.
Those are the crappy ones made of synthetic leather. The real leather hybrids are found here: MMA Hybrid Fight Gloves from Combatsports.com The leather Hybrids are a nice glove, dunno if those black synthetics would be worth the $$ though, but still - it's not a bad price I guess.
FYI guys - those are pretty poor gloves. A basic breakdown: 1. The actual construction (design, stitching) is good 2. The synthetic leather is AWFUL. There are some synthetic leathers that are really good. This synthetic leather is really bad. It feels like plastic. 3. The leather version of these gloves in regular or large actually weigh about 6-7oz (each glove) The synthetic version does not even weigh 4oz. I weighed them on a digital postal scale. All this being said - you'd be much better off getting a pair of Top Contender Quick Strike Grappling Gloves (EGRAP)- if your budget is tight. Hope this helps! Boomer
Those things look like they are made of the same crappy synthetic leather that those horrid Everlast gloves from Wal Mart are made of.
The padding is actually pretty damn good on these gloves, they are good for bag and mitt work, or at least for me...Probably not bad for very light rolling but I wouldn't use them for stand up against someone you like.
I just ordered a pair, I will do a write-up on them after trying them out for a few weeks. At $13 I couldn't resist.
Yeah, $9 shipping for my $13 gloves. Oh well, what can you do. Still a decent price to pay for the gloves (I hope).
I own several of the synthetic training mma gloves (8 pairs) and the leather is very poor on them. They are almost plastic like. While these synthetic gloves are cheap and if you are on a tight budget they are workable, they should be avoided whenever possible.
I bought these in good faith, but was very disappointed. 1)shit construction - seams are already coming apart 2)stupid design - regular is really for large hands and the wrist lock gives no support and is just in the way 3)the syntetic is shit - cuts you open easilly when sparring. By the way, I have only used these gloves once... and now their fucked... hence - Sale Price: $12.95 Give your money to a friend instead
Well, I feel like a bit of a douche now. I thought they were the same as the leather ones that I bought from cageside (Great gloves BTW). Oh well... I guess if it looks to good it must be. Thought it was one of the deal of the day type deals.
