I believe he has very powerful enemies within UFC or the commisions. Who want to see him absolutely ruined he has to be careful.

But these people who framed him made a gigantic error in the process of the framing planning and strategy. They stand on a thin ice

The problem is, the commission / USADA don't need to prove their case, that the samples were handled properly and not tampered with.

They would just point to the samples and say, "we found positive results."

Jones is put in a position where he is basically guilty until he can prove his innocence.

If his urine samples were sabotaged, it would be nearly impossible for his attorneys to prove, because there is not a neutral 3rd party who has another sample.

What stands out for me is that^ line.

It sounds like he's signalling to USADA "we know you got him dead to rights, but we decide the punishment and you must conform".

He probably wants to gun for 1 or 2 years compared to the 4 that USADA could potentially dish out.

This guy is a moron. Jones' masking agent could have hidden the drug earlier, then failed later, or Jones could have gotten off the drug weeks earlier, then had it show up because it was still in his system, but wasn't detectable until his fat cells released trace amounts during his cut.

Why would he begin using a new substance so close to the fight? And if he was looking for a fast-acting pre-fight boost, why would he take it prior to the day of the fight itself, and on a day when he knew he would be tested?

Cung Le when he fought Bisping, I believe. At the very least, they fucked up his testing and he was exonerated.

I don't think he was lazy with his attempts to hide it, i think he just used way more than most fighters do and so it was harder to mask it.

that would depend on if the new turinabol metabolites test is part of the wada partial menu (out of comp testing). Hes making the assumption that the metabolites test is part of the standard steroid screen. Ive heard conflicting stories on this.

I'd really like to see some facts about the standard screenings. Not just people on the internet offering conjecture. I don't care about Jones at this point but that was my main takeaway from this mmajunkie article. I've seen you offer this same explanation that they probably didn't test the earlier samples for Turinabol. Foster is here saying it's not true. I don't think you just made it up.

Even Foster partially hedges on this by saying "IF you're doing a steroid panel...". So are they doing a steroid panel on every sample or not? It would sure be nice if someone got the facts on this.

...I know John is a loose cannon, but for a guy who knows hes going to be tested more than anyone else due to previous offences.....and any punishment would be more than anyone else due to previous offences....why would he take a banned substance that he knows he will get caught using so easily?

That’s why I think it’s very important that we vet this and look at all the available evidence before we jump to conclusions and hang this guy out to dry.”
