Good chat, yes it will be interesting to see how it plays out - and I will wager as we go deeper into 2024 and the next generation of truly AAA games with full Web 3 functionality become mainstream hits - you will start to climb up the 'convinced' scale.

Regarding the in-game currency point, it's a (decentralised) crypto - so while it is native 'fuel' for the game ecosystem, it can be freely traded on the open market - so it serves both purposes and therefore retains value in two ways. One, market value via open trading. Two, utility value and token burns based on gaming fees utility within the ecosystem.

The beauty is - narrative hype always extends further than actual utility, so no matter where this actually lands within gaming, the fact remains gaming and AI are the hottest narratives in the market cycle, so placing bets within these sectors will lead to massive profits next year and into 2025.

Best of luck to you mate, here's hoping you get them sick gains.

Yup, those two seem to be floating around and talked about the most this cycle. I picked up a large bag of Tao around $230 I’m hoping it will run to at least $1k but we will see. I don’t have any gaming tokens at the moment and I’d probably only grab Beam but it’s not on Woo X yet which is where I trade so I’ll have to wait until it’s loaded.

As of late, it’s like shooting fish in a barrel. The highest leverage I go is 4x but with a starting bag of around $5-8k you can easily get in and out of trades with +$200-$500. Just adjust stop losses and you’re good.

NEAT has been launched by SWEAT tethered to near. Starting price 0.40.

Finally some ETH and BTC movement again.

Missed my chance to take profit from Link, I'll wait and see if it crosses 17 again

Oof, is this going to be a forgettable Thursday?

Wow coinbase really don't want to release my staked coins. Process started ages ago and now I'm just watching it all fall.

They said three weeks to unstake ATOM. Pretty normal. I gotta wait until Jan 14

Orca and Jupiter are amazing. I absolutely love Jupiter
If we sell and reinvest in shadow and Jupiter and solana doesn't drop back to 20 then aren't I just losing the sol I have from an early investment and losing any cheap gains I made?

I just took some other investments and reallocated into some Solana ecosystem plays to basically have 5% of my SOL holdings in them

Can someone explain what does solana do that eth can't?
it simply seems like a smaller, less reliable, more centralised, less scalable eth. There is also a huge minting process to subside tx fees going on right?
Is it because everything is notionally on layer1? I see that as a negative personally. A healthy variety of layer 2 chains that offer different approaches based on business needs but take on all security and interoperability from layer1 is a clearly superior proposition.
what am I missing

It is backed by VC who will pump it up

My solana is apparently going to be unstaked leading into the new year. Good chance this will be universal with many people seeing the drop off on the 26th and talk of a rug pull and deciding to unstake at the same time.

Doesnt cost $25 in gas fees to do a $10 transaction
