Also, does it not worry you that you have to keep it locked up for 12 months and that the team holds more than 60% of total tokens?

That’s part of the risk. It’s also why I don’t stake way more. I would like to stake with those APYs in the Ks, but due to the risk of things changing in that year or worse, I only do it it the low hundreds. I will risk 200 but I can’t justify myself being greedy and possibly losing 2000.

What’s the point of staking anything other than APY?

For oracle networks the reason why one would stake their tokens is provide collateral for node operators.

In PoS networks it is to secure the network and so on.

What role does staking play in API3?
