Folks it is time to wake up. Ted Cruz is the zealot, and the dangerous candidate in this race. Cruz would take executive action to close the EPA, or Department of Education, because he believes his rhetoric. Cruz would be the candidate to put this country into a constitutional crisis as he would push the boundaries of the executive office, and step past them.

Cruz has a history of actions that show this willingness to push and step past traditional boundaries, whether that is leading the charge to shut down the government, or releasing a campaign to tell voters Ben Carson had dropped out the race, to get his votes.

Donald Trump is running as a deal maker. This should be music to the ears of Democrats, independents, and Americans in general. At some point in the past 2 decades, the model of our legislative branch has been destroyed, where both sides knew they weren't going to get perfect legislation in a spilt 2 party system, so they made deals to move the country forward. Almost 2 decades of virtual grid lock, is what is radical, is what is dangerous. Ted Cruz is what is radical, what is dangerous.

Are you aware that Bob Dole, Harry Reid, and Jimmie Carter have said the same thing?

That's exactly why Cruz is gaining momentum. He's the real outsider, while Trump says he's the outsider but says he's a negotiator, bendable, a chameleon, and constantly changing positions when it's politically convienient...

...which is exactly why he can't be trusted.

If I was a liberal, I'd hope Trump win the nomination as well.

Cruz is absolute shit. How could anyone vote for a booger eater as their president is beyond me.

Bernie Sander is even more "radical"

Why do leftist concern themselves with Republican issues so much?

Cruz comes off as more genuine than Rubio as sad as that is.

I agree. He is sneaky and carefull about what he says so that is why he hasn't taken the backlash Trump has because he doesn't say as crude or rude things. The only reason Cruz does not have support of a former Klan member is because he is pro Israel and his wife works for the'evil 'Goldman Sachs.

That seems obvious since even though Trump has said some crazy things I don't think he believes them all as he knows how to play to his supporters

Because they know their candidate is weak.

So, they hope we put up a weaker candidate, like Trump, their chances go from guaranteed loser to probability of winning.

That and he's not white with a last name Cruz.

And this along with many other reasons is why Donald Trump is leading within the GOP. Trump leading is a full scale rejection of the GOP since Bush.

The neo-cons, and tea-partiers are done with. If you aren't a neo-con, or tea-partier, you should be cheering the rise of Trump.

Not me. I want a populist vs a populist in Trump vs Sanders. I want a populist movement from both parties to take hold, even if they take different forms.

Trump is a legit threat to any candidate with the mood of the electorate today.

Trump's biggest victories are in liberal states and states that allow Independents and Democrats to vote in open primaries.

You say that like the traditional GOP base that votes in the primaries represent the average GOP voter. That isn't true of either party.

A lot of Cruz victories are in caucus states (similar to Sanders) where a small, hard core group of zealots can carry the day. Cruz is the candidate the Democrats would most like to run against. Very very little support outside the hard core Republican right. Trump might have a wider appeal.

I bet Bernie Sanders farts into his hands and then tries to bring the fart up to his nose as fast as he can before it dissipates in order to get a good sniff.

How anyone could vote for a monster like that is beyond me.

Today, sure.

in 1950, Eisenhower was to the left of Sanders.

Our country has been radicalized, and Cruz is a radical outside, of a radicalized country. That is saying something.
