A debut trailer for Crowsworn was shown back in April and i thought i'd finally make a thread to have everything they announce in one place.

Trailers for those who haven't seen them -

Crowsworn is being developed by Mongoose Rodeo and Matthew Griffin (AKA Leth) is doing the marketing, this is important because he also does the marketing for Hollow Knight Silksong.

Playing Ender Lilies right now and while i like it a lot. This looks way more like what I want. The art style is very similar is it the same devs?

It sure does, and it just sounds so good too. The video in the opening post should update when it happens but i might post it too just in case people miss it.
 
I’m getting burnt out on all these metroidvania games. Between Hollowknight, Blasphemous, Guacamelee and Bloodstained. I’m not playing anymore of these style of games for awhile.
 
Holy shit this looks amazing. But I hope it has that magic sauce that make HK so special.
 
Just tossed down $40 on their kickstarter. When I was doing it their total fund was over $700k, by the time I was finished it was over $900k. They’re close to their target for live cut scenes.

I know some special games were made via Kickstarter like Kingdom Come and Hollow Knight, but to me, 99% of the other projects seemed like scams etc.

But I followed your suit, and backed this one. Hopefully we get the anime style animated cutscenes.

The team seems to be solid which is why I supported it. I almost supported Blasphemous but it was closed by the time I saw it. I’ve seen so many Kickstarter YT scam videos that I tend to stay away from it. Hopefully this one works out.

Edit for above, I read the numbers wrong. But they’re still charging to their live cut scene goal.

Though there's a very real possibility that Crowsworn is nowhere near as good as HK, there's no chance of any shadiness. The marketing guy for HK (Leth) is doing the marketing for Crowsworn, and Leth is a good guy.

Thats a chance Im willing to take, I like the bios of the talent behind the game. I think they can make a really good game. Some of the sample music is amazing aswell. Cant wait.
 
Isn't there a Kickstarter incentive where if you donate enough you get to be a boss in the game?
 
Went to put this on my Steam wishlist and see the devs are working on a spinoff kart game in their free time.



The video is old and it looks like a buggy mess. Could only find the one video so not sure if it's just a meme build or an actual game since Steam has a pretty polished page.
