Cro Cops looks bigger than ever

Well speed isn't the same as in 2002 yeah, burt winning Pride GP in 2006, K1 in 2013 and being ranked #6 in KB isn't too bad for an old man ;)

Who the hell rank him #6? He is not even top 10 IMO.

The K-1 he won (even with a really controversial dec.) was the worst ever.

He was a monster until 2006 but then it went downfall.

Liverkick ranks him at #6, Glory ranks him at #9. If you want to argue that his K-1 was the shallowest gp; you'd have a pretty strong case. But it was at least a good a win as Zimmerman's SK Fight Club gp title.

Yeah he looks much flabbier with different lightning. He looks really old even in his last UFC fights he looked much younger compared to now and if I was him i would rather lose a little bit of fat the extra weight isn't going to help him

Crocop was quite big as a teenager too, hell, maybe the first thing he was doing when he was born was watching some action movies and doing exercises

His upper body is way too big. Mirko used to be a bottom heavy fighter, his skill and his style were built on that.

In my opinion this is what caused his downfall, a shift in the center of gravity to which he could not adapt.

He's slow and unstable this way.

It might be due to the multiple knee injuries he has had that he was forced to train differently. That or thinking he had to put on weight to be able to wrestle the larger guys he was facing in the UFC.

But dammit he was real fast in his prime.
of course he was.

The only heavyweight to so much as match Mirko's speed was Fedor, whose own speed was legendary. Both moved like welterweights.

Really, his speed and power are what carried him through more often than not, and once that first aspect of his game had faded, he was pretty much done. Can't use a swift, movement-based striking style while you're plodding; even if nobody can say that said loss of alacrity came about from anything other than the horrific knee injury he suffered against Gonzaga, and the chipped bone in his ankle which he not only fought Hunt but won the OWGP with, and only receiving surgery for it a few months prior to his debut in the UFC (I feel this bears stating because in my experience many are like, "LOLZ he changed becuz of steroid testing dummy!!1" which is a contention that I find highly presumptious and juvenile).

It's not surprising to me that he saved more or less the last breathtaking rear high kick knockout he had in him for that night (but it was awesome to see him knock down Londt with it as well!). Barely even used his left leg against Yoshida and still fucking fractured his leg. Cro Cop was a legit S A V A G E in his day.

Holy FRICK.

Yeah I just watched the weigh ins and did not expect that.

He had bulked up a few times in the UFC.. I believe on those occasions he was around 240 - 250 .
But im not sure if its because I have no comparisons but he looks to be in way better shape as a hulk Mirko this time.

Of course its cool to see the fighter I totally unconditionally man-love looking big, scary and in shape... But the Mirko I believe was most dominant was the 2003 K1 ( First Remy fight ) and 2005-2006 ripped 215-225 Mirko. Because he still held so much power at that weight and was FAST... as fuck.

But from the recent training videos of Cro Cop it looks like he has retained some of that speed at 242. Also.. for the past few years I rarely saw the quick versatile combos from mirko. It was only like left straights and barely even any high kicks.

From training videos I saw him whipping low kicks, quick right-left to lhk's. Body shot combos.

I think he looks good. So im super excited. Really hope its a great fight

I think he has been hitting that horse meat chevapi
