Cro Cop: Smaller weights are not champions. Heavyweight Division is king.

That's an important point. These smaller weight classes are not so small when cutting weight is not an issue, and outside of height, many of them don't look that much smaller than some HW's.

There can also be an advantage to fighting as a bulked up lower weight fighter against HW's. Fedor succeeded as an oversized welterweight because he was faster than most HW's, but still had power.

Cormier succeeded as a bulked up welterweight. In fact, the most dominant fighters at HW, have been oversized lower weight fighters.

At some point, being larger becomes a detriment to fighting.

Gordeau smashed a sumo wrestler, as did Keith Hackney. Royce submitted a sumo wrestler. We can go on, and on.

I agree, although I don't see Cormier and Fedor as bulked up WWs. Fedor could make MW with a proper diet and with a good weight-cut, he has a lot of fat. Cormier, though, has a bigger frame. Yes, he is fat, but he has a big bone structure.

bigger = more power
smaller = more speed
Where there is balance...

Back to the Cro Cop about the bouncer discussion, let's assume you have a bouncer as big as Ngannou (height and frame), but with not much fighting abilities, just some bar fights. Does Cro Cop really believe that a MW like Romero or a WW like Robbie would get beaten by the bouncer? Just because they are smaller? Come on...

I can understand the logic with a FLW or BW fighter, I just dont see how a top talent like MM could beat a a guy twice as big as him... in a bar fight, not a bjj fight.

Top Heavyweights gas out all the time though. Ngannou gassed out and he was fighting for the belt. You can name more HW that gassed out in a fight than ones that didn't.

Except guys like Stipe, JDS, Werdum, Cain and a few others, yeah, that's true. Lower divisions are much more technical. Struve is still ranked at HW and the man has a very low fight IQ and not much of a fighter, but he is there just because he is basketball tall.

In my opinion, LW, WW and MW are the most balanced weight divisions. You have there talented fighters, technical but with KO power.

They use just as much energy as he does.
Wrong.....Anything a HW does, takes more energy...It can be a punch, but it will take more energy then a 125lbs manlet....That changes how they fight.

MMA is not Rugby.

So? How can Mighty Mouse, Conor, Khabib etc lay claim to the baddest men on the planet when in players their size engage in a in a ferocious physical contact sport like rugby where with more concussions than MMA, against opponents literally twice their size? Rugby isn't soccer and is a valid comparison. 5'6 150lbs rugby great Shane Williams was tougher and braver in battle than any MMA fighter that cuts weight. FACT.

Actually, most bouncers are chosen for size as a deterrent. Many are not even interested in fighting, or even have much experience fighting.
Not over there and not these guys from photo.
These guys are ex football hooligans who had fights that UFC guys never had or will have.And still many active hooligans are also working as bouncers.Many also fight as semi pro or amateurs,or a pro but in shit level organization.So believe me,in east europe/balkan bouncers are no joke when it comes to hurting someone or having skills.Sure 1 on 1 they would lose to some 185 lbs guy from UFC or where ever,but it would not be 1 on 1 so,bad for fighters.

do you even brain bruh?

you said "he never said anything about DC/Jones"

I did not included DC because DC fought at HW.
I included Jones because he never fought at HW.

Mirko said something about the smaller weights than HW and that HW is king.
I guess he included the LHWs too. Or the MW. Not only the FLWs and the BWs.

It’s harder to move more weight. Throw a one hundred pound weight vest on Conor and see how his cardio fares.
Yeah, it's harder to move more weight which is why people should exercise and practice a healthy diet. Fat asses don't get a pass just because they lack discipline.

Dude, seriously?
If you are 6’4 with a wide frame... cmon.
There’s a reason gymnasts are all midgets -it’s easier to move smaller mass. But fighting isn’t all about dealing with your own mass, but also about your opponents. Jesus.

CC got knocked out cold by fucking Brendan Shaub and juiced his opinion is irrelevant.
