Lord of The Incels = Jordan Peterson

Where were all these right wing rights advocates when the post 9-11 security state was being built, and why is Facebook silencing speech a bigger concern then the violation of my 4th amendment rights?

I'm not saying he is wrong, I am saying he is selectively right. He puts his blinders on for the far greater threat of rights being eroded in the name of security, as opposed to PC.

Yep, also the matter of corporate overreach eroding internet and data privacy rights (which can then also be shared with the state). I remember when even Rand "muh individual freedom" Paul supported that shit.

But, to Peterson's followers' credit, conservatives have never cared about the Fourth Amendment....at all. And, until recently, they never pretended to care about the First Amendment either, although now they're just being openly hypocritical and selective on the issue.

Shocker nobody actually has a rebuttal for anything he says, just attack him for being different than their extremely ignorant and limited view.

JP has some good points when he talks about subjects he knows about, namely psychology.

But he's really annoying when he goes off the rails into areas where he's willfully ignorant: religion, history, economics etc.

Have you listened to his lectures on religion?

Okay I'll bite: JP often claims that there is zero evidence for negative discrimination against athiests.
  • Atheistism has historically been punishable by death
  • Athiests poll lower than any other group in the US in trustworthiness
  • Until very recently being athiest would prevent you from obtaining any leadership position, especially in government.

JP also claims that human made climate change is not proven, which is a ridiculous statement coming from a guy who buys into so many of the theories in psychology which have far less objective proof.

I actually like JP when it comes to his thoughts on sociology and psychology but he doesn't know how to stay in his lane and not spout off about stuff he doesn't know anything about.

Feel like a lot of Americans don't seem to realize that Peterson is not an American. He's a Canadian.

He didn't give a fuck about 9/11 or your 4th amendment because it did not concern him, or 99% of the rest of the world.

Not in the modern Western world, which is where this discussion means the most and is predicated on Western values. We have an entire period of philosophy where people challenged the very existence of God.

Not really, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_atheists_in_politics_and_law

He should, because the post 9-11 security state is global. 5 eyes group. Canada is a member.

The five eyes group is great. It is a agreement that MI6 and Canadian intelligence spy on Americans and give the intelligence to the CIA to avoid the laws governing this behavoir, and vice versa. Canada let's the CIA spy on Canadian citizenship, because Canadian intelligence can't legally do it.

Would you classify the ice age as "climate change?"

As funny as that is, he's actually got a point there.

I am a semi-employed-but-not-really stoner who smokes cigarettes and watches more MMA than any doctor would recommend - and my room looks like it, too.

I been actively keeping my house clean of late too. With less clutter around I feel like my mind is more clear.
