Social Crazy Christians: Pastors Defy COVID Restrictions [UPDATE: (Cis, White) Gays Behaving Badly]

I'm not white knighting for anybody. Luba doesn't post that often in the WR and I was just legit curious. The question was supposed to be "what kind of misinfo?" but my phone's keyboard had other ideas. I didn't know that.
Who knows what he’s talking about. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Nodak is my boy and I understand why he has issues with Christians but this is a pretty cringe thread.

@MVelsor is a great guy. He just falls into the trap he criticizes certain groups of doing. Judging groups because of the crazies within those groups.

It isn't both sides and it doesn't go both ways. My problem with Christians is entirely to do with their inherent problem, and those "rare" crazies apparently extend directly into my family.

They have stood against and treated every civil rights advancement as a direct attack on them; they valorized, cheered, laughed at HIV (much like the US government at the time) along with the 600,000+ American deaths it brought on; and can't seem to grasp the fact that the United States was founded as a secular republic from day one.

Just lol @ this shit.

Yo, maybe it's time to work on copping themselves an actual self-loving life though; a community? a culture? Something, dudes. Anything, guys. The focus is so beyond disproportionate and hilarious when contrasted with the inverse. Here is history in a nutsack.

Gays: Sup Bros! :)

Christians: Criminalize. Oppress. Repress. (Repeat)

Christians: Why are you politicizing sexuality?

Christians: Why are you attacking Christians?

GTFO.

Well. You sure proved my point in record time.

Judging half of a county by lumping them all together is just as bad as the racist cocks that scream ALL BLACKS BAD.

Plenty of Christians are Assholes. Plenty are good people. Same can be said for any group. Including homosexuals. There are not as many homosexuals as there are Christians so of course asshole Christians outnumber asshole homosexuals.

But more Christians feed the homeless and take care of the poor. There are more Christians taking care of those with HIV abroad also.

You know my feeling on Homosexuals. Great group. Maybe the best in terms of productivity.

Sorry you have assholes in your family but so does everyone else and its usually not religion making them assholes.

I'm not judging anybody, I don't give a fuck who they are or what they do. History shows the inverse diabolically and murderously false. That's just what it is and a major reason why "special privileges" like the legal right to have sex, get married or voluntarily serve in the military (laughable) weren't won until well into the 21st century; I guess you could say that was just society in general up until a couple decades ago though. Baghdad was already blown to smithereens before two consenting adults could even fuck nationwide without being criminals. Saddam didn't even criminalize it FFS. <45>

I don't think @MVelsor is judging all Christians though, he's very specific in naming the pastors and groups and what his issue with them is. Besides the homophobia is unfortunately a mainstream belief among modern Christians as it is among other religions.

I feel like we've already had this thread, did not bring it up in here until a familiar someone went and mentioned gay people and bath houses. Anyway yeah: the fringe, the rare crazies.

And I was just chilling at home with my kid when these spastics started popping off.

The Drollinger-led Bible study meets every Wednesday morning with members of Trump’s cabinet, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and Health Secretary Alex Azar. Carson and Azar, notably, are members of the coronavirus task force guiding the federal government response to the pandemic.

Vice President Mike Pence, a member of the task force and a listed host of Capitol Ministries, is also tied to the Bible study. Emails obtained by Gizmodo show administration officials coordinating with Drollinger’s group to schedule a session of the Bible study, including the possibility of hosting the weekly event in Pence’s West Wing office.

At least 52 GOP lawmakers also participate in a Capitol Hill version of Drollinger’s Bible study, which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sponsors of the event include House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., the second-ranking GOP lawmaker in the Senate.

Yes. You do care what they do and who they are. That is why you spend half your WR time on them.

That would be like RIP saying he did not care who homosexuals are and what they do.

You just happen to piss on the easiest and most popular group in these parts. RIP picked the wrong group.

I on the other hand embrace both groups not because I am part of either(I am not) but because I've seen the substantial good within both groups

These threads always end up the same way. Christian bashing. Do I really need to quote posts? I will if you want. How many SHITHOLE comments alone can I find? Or Christians this....or Christianity this.

Come on dude. This is a pretty fucked up thread and you know it.

Shit. After going through this thread I was mixing up threads and posts. I see nothing that should have made me go at @MVelsor the way I did.

Seriously, I apologize

Huh? Fucked up? That's dramatic. Its a legit issue, there are indeed many pastors who are continuing their services and this is facilitating the spread of the virus. Is the thread on the Pakistani Muslims fucked up because it leads to Islam bashing? Somehow I think you're less offended by that one. Both threads are perfectly fair threads though since these are mass gatherings which are ill advised during a pandemic. As far as the shithole comments if you actually look its the Muslim bashers who started it, then MVelsor just pointed out that American Christians are doing the same thing and parodied their use of the term.

At the same time I think there's a legit constitutional question here. People have the freedom of religion and assembly so is the state overstepping its bounds in trying to ban these services? In a perfect world people would keep the right to attend services but exercise it responsibly and decide on their own to socially distance but that's too much to ask.

That's how most threads go, regardless of the group. At least there are enough Christians on this forum to actually provide the Christian perspective. When Muslims are being bashed in countless threads it's pretty much only @Kafir-kun that can speak directly from his religion's perspective. Or when gays are bashed it's just @MVelsor that steps up to give that perspective.

When I defend Christianity nobody gets mad at me. Any small defense I pose on behalf of Muslim people often gets people genuinely upset. One guy demanded that I take a picture of my Muslim friends, wearing some type of Muslim identifying clothing, to prove that I actually know Muslims. Lol. Christians have it pretty easy on here, comparatively.

No, I don't. I talk about, make corrections and celebrate my own subculture. It's pure bliss. The other 85% of my content is about geopolitics, history or American agriculture, defense, energy, industrial tech, manufacturing and science.

I really only created this thread because people were bitching and crying about it being brought up in another where everyone was supposed to be laughing at what Pakistani Muslims are doing on the other side of the world. "Look at how dumb they are, zhitshole countries!" Uh, we have the same things happening in ours and the impact is far more direct. The result of it? A whole lot more bitching and crying. I hope the Rona didn't make them cancel their dedicated Anti-LGBT events either.

Tbh you didn't even really seem to emphasize that aspect of your identity much at first. It seems almost like you mentioned in passing that you're bisexual and from then on were frequently tagged in LGBT threads or discussions relating to it. Almost like Sherdog radicalized you into becoming a radical LGBTQWERTY activist.

Radical (Cis) Gay Bro Culturalist.

It also certainly had nothing to do with all of the broad equivalences to :eek::eek::eek:phila and railing about the destruction of western civilization on here either. There's a level of enjoyment to it though: a ready-made opportunity to basically talk about myself and make the necessary corrections at convenience, all the while often being flippant as fuck? Yeah, it's fun.

I only know a few Muslims. 2 families actually. Both families are moderate and great parents. Kids cool also.

I guess I just for the most part hang out with genuinely good people.
