Food & Drink Crab vs Lobster - which one tastes better?

This is the lobster roll I had when I was in New England in 2024. It was unbelievably good. Just bun, meat, and butter. (Not my pic, but an example of the roll). I wanted to order TWO because of how good it was but I was struggling with just one.

I love both but nothing beats King crab legs

Ugh... King crab is the least flavorful crab.

Dungeness crab is top tier

The back fin is- the rest of the crab is just a ton of work and moatctimes you picking shell out your mouth . The back fin part cant be beat tho

Grew up crabbing on a dock. Poor people dinner.
Spend all day with a rope, crab pot, and some chicken necks. End of the day with a bushel.
Steam the crabs and some sweet corn. Dump em on some old newspaper. Hang with the family picking crabs and drinking cheap beer.



Also….not much is better than a true Md blue crab cake.

Haven't had king crab in a long time. Wouldn't know the difference between any of the crabs....maybe not even the lobsters, but I have that routinely.


One this...never had crawfish. Dont know how to eat them but since they look like small lobsters, bigger shrimp, I suppose its somewhere in the middle?

And a Dungeness crab you have to work so much for a small piece of meat. Just not worth it in my opinion.

Crawfish has its own unique flavor but to be honest it might not be too far off from what you're describing

Crawfish are delicious.
Pinch tail and suck head. ……sounds weird I know.

I'm referring specifically to the meat itself

For me it's crab legs although I do like lobster just not as much

Crab with lemon and melted butter = wow

I think that nothing on earth approaches lobster‘s taste.

Rah I grew up in Annspolis till 10 we always went crabbing in Chesapeake and ateaned our own. Still only tbe back fin is great but it is the best . The claws are decent but meh and the other meat is just too much work. But the back fin makes all worth it.
