With purchased ppvs before the press conference and purchased during/after the conference.
I'm legitimately surprised if the majority order it the day before, but my point being, with the fact that tons of people will order the event after the press conference, seeing an "increase" is either par for the course or will have to be compared to some internal estimation, in which case I'd circle back toBelieve it or not some ppl do order ahead yeah
That bottom line def does not change, so fair game.I'm legitimately surprised if the majority order it the day before, but my point being, with the fact that tons of people will order the event after the press conference, seeing an "increase" is either par for the course or will have to be compared to some internal estimation, in which case I'd circle back to

no, you’re just a hypocrite, and you’re so far up your own ass that it’s impossible for you to fathom that perhaps you’re just wrong. so you’re always going to be surprised that people see things differently than you.I don't see the similarity between re-positing someone's social media and insulting ppl's dead fathers or tricky family situations. But I'm not shocked that Sherdog would, lol.
One is free publicity for something the WANT publicity for, that they are actively SEEKING publicity for. The other is kicking a person when they're down (and perhaps cannot even call on their family to defend themselves because they're not alive to do that).
Only Sherdog would see this as the same. But in the real world they are absolutely closer to opposites than they are to similar. Sorry. I understand that goes against your position, but facts is facts.
Leon initiated all the striking, and even tried to go for grappling positions and submissions, when he's a striker. What would he need to be criticized for? He took unnecessary risks and tried fighting in a world where he doesn't belong. I'd criticize him for not being smart in doing so, but, certainly, that's not playing it safe.I don't care about the trash talk (he did go to far) but that fight and his performance was terrible and he (plus Leon) deserve whatever criticism they recieve.
I can understand some people not being happy with that fight. Some people wanted to see Colby reduced to a bloody heap, get the Bryce Mitchell treatment, and feel Leon was more than capable of doing that, had he wanted to.Leon initiated all the striking, and even tried to go for grappling positions and submissions, when he's a striker. Okay, but Colby turned away from his signature style and instead opted to do...... nothing. If the fight sucked, the reason for it starts and finishes with him.I can understand some people not being happy with that fight. Ah, and you are the logically consistent human who sees better than the rest of us? Or maybe you need to turn that mirror around on yourself and understand that not everybody is a shithead in the exact same way you are. We are all of us shitheads, sure enough. But in different ways.no, you’re just a hypocrite, and you’re so far up your own ass that it’s impossible for you to fathom that perhaps you’re just wrong. so you’re always going to be surprised that people see things differently than you.
“she asked for it by posting on social media.” that’s your reasoning. nobody has any illusions that usman’s fans / colby’s haters are going to say nice things to her. usman knows his fans will mess with her, maybe even attack her physically, which is why usman reposted it. from what i can see, colby’s haters have taken the position that “this ain’t a game,” and so they think violence is a justified response to colby. they’re deranged. essentially, usman’s trying to punish colby by attacking his living, innocent family members. that’s what you are participating in. you try to make yourself feel good about it, but that is what you’re doing.Ah, and you are the logically consistent human who sees better than the rest of us? You see reposting social media as on par with insulting the memory of a man's dead father.
I wonder how far up your own ass you need to be to have that vantage point? I'd say farther than the person who sees them as almost opposites. But what do I know? Strokes and folks I guess.
Well one redeeming attribute is obviously his ability to trigger the fuck out of people like you that just can't stop talking about him. It gives others plenty of cheap laughs.I can think of many unlikeable fighters that have passed through this sport, but for every one of them I can think of at least some redeeming qualities where I can somehow understand how one might be a fan.
In the case of Colby I can think of absolutely nothing, the guy has ZERO likeable traits, nothing.
I held this belief from day one, I never understood how this dude had any fans, but this past weekend was the last straw.
Before one could at least make the case that he fought hard, that he always came to win, so even though he’s the lowest of the low at least he will entertain me in the cage, but now that’s gone too. Then the final nail in the coffin, raising his arms at the end of the fight and pretending to believe he won, all with that stupid smile… just beyond sad and pathetic.
What an absolute garbage human being, if Masvidal snuffed him out that day, if Werdum put him in a permanent coma with that boomerang the world would be a better place.
Oh yeah, I just can’t stop, I went to work today and all I talked about was Colby Covington.Well one redeeming attribute is obviously his ability to trigger the fuck out of people like you that just can't stop talking about him. It gives others plenty of cheap laughs.
Also, his ability to make money for the UFC.
Because that sounds way better than "We did 100 PPV buys instead of 75.".Dana mentioned that ppv sales went up 25% due to the Colby press conference. That's a redeemable quality.
Other than AS, Rich Franklin was the man. Everyone has their Kryptonite fighter.I can think of many unlikeable fighters that have passed through this sport, but for every one of them I can think of at least some redeeming qualities where I can somehow understand how one might be a fan.

Yesterday when I was discussing this there were 14 different threads just on the main page of the heavies discussing Colby. Fucking 14...Oh yeah, I just can’t stop, I went to work today and all I talked about was Colby Covington.
Oh no, not triggered, I forgot that the cool thing today is to pretend to be completely indifferent towards everything, you’re so ahead of the game.
