Could you ever live in a Tiny House?

I like the minimalism of those places though some are too small. I just know too many people who buy the giant suburban house and then spend all of their free time taking care of that place.

Me: "Hey Bob what are you up to this weekend?"

Big House Guy: "Nothing much. Still working on my house project then I'm going to mow the lawn on Sunday"

I believe I could.

My father and his 3 brothers grew up in a tiny house. It was a house made by their grandfather. They didn't have much money but it was always a fun place to visit and stay, even though it was very small.

Where I'm from, thats called a shed.

No, I couldn't do it. It might be cool for a weekend or something. Its a stupid trend.

Could do it for a vacation somewhere cause I never spend my time in the room but that's it.

the only way i could do it is if it were on a relatively-large piece of land where i could go out and chill out. would not do it if it were on some random city block with all kinds of other houses so close.

It's a Goal, I kind of do already, I have a 45' motorhome..soon to be living and traveling full time..

An interracial midget couple. This is one of those things that, while it's perfectly reasonable to assume they exist, you'd never ever think about it until you see one. And for some reason (read: Because I'm kind of an asshole), it's hilarious.

On-topic, sure, I could live in a tiny house. I'm single, no kids, but I think I'd prefer the "small" house, maybe 600 square feet. I do need a little bit of room to move around.

I'de need a few things
1. spacious enough to have sex, crouched over sex wont cut it
2. computer desk for work
3. maybe a closet for hobbies on

I'm one of those that has a decent sized suburban house that can be a pain to maintain, so I hire people to help maintain it.

My wife and I talk about getting one some day. Our idea is to get a home with a large lot someday in someplace temperate, put a Tiny house in the lot and get some outdoor furniture. We could have kids in the regular house, but we'd spend out alone time in the mini house. A super minimalist lifestyle is appealing.
sounds complicated as hell, would have to be california, so expensive as hell too

Having previously lived in a Freightliner truck for several years, that house would have looked sweet 10 years ago. Downgrading from an actual house? Not so much :)

I could definitely do one of those shipping can cribs. Just make sure the bathroom has a proper ventilation system and I'm good to go. I'm a simple man.

I'd even live in an underground shipping can crib like a human groundhog. Would be sweet.

Underground is cool in concept, but I think I'd go insane from the lack of natural light.

Typically you will have little bunker-like windows that shed light on your subject. Most basements I've seen had those, and weren't totally underground...yeah, that would suck without light...

It has become more and more appealing to me lately. As much of as a consumer as I already am (and i'm well aware of it) the idea of self reliance and shedding myself of some of my consumerism is what makes this idea appealing to me.

well there was a time when i was a MMO player and didn't leave my room much. Some of these are bigger than my room.

If I didnt have a wife I would love to live in one of those. I like small enclosed places where everything is close by. Like my own personal little fort

I hang out in the smallest room of my house where its pretty much a twin bed and a 50 inch tv at the foot of the bed and think its the most relaxing spot I have ever had for myself. I would do some crazy shit and build a cave within the room so it was just the bed to the tv in like a curtain but my wife would call me crazy

I moved my bed tv and sega to a walk in closet when I was a kid too.

I have no idea what thats about.
