Pride rulez, the middleweights have to cut weight as usual, Fedor doesn't. Also, half an hour breaks between fights.

Romero
Rockhold
Souza
Gastelum
Adesanya

. . .

Bonus round: Whittaker

I think he beats them
Insane flurry on Romero
Boxes up Rockhold
Boxes up Souza
Ragdolls Gastelum and Israel
Whittaker is a tough one, but he still ourstrikes him

Also, I get that 5 or 6 fights in oneonight is A LOT, but Fedor would outweigh them all by about ~30lbs, and he has that KO power to end most fights early

Edit: I'll explain my rationale even further

Romero:Good wrestler, but he wouldn't be able to stand up to Fedor's pace or skill on the ground. I see Fedor boxing him up with hooks, maybe knocking him down and submitting him

Rockhold: Fedor beat CroCop, who is a better striker than Luke, and a lot stronger. Also, Fedor would exploit Luke's chin/boxing issues

Souza: Too stationary and predictable. If Whittake's striking could confuse him and knock him down, Prime Fedor would have a highlight reel moment before he KOs/TKOs him

Gastelum: Too small/short. Fedor finishes him however he wants

Israel: Fedor is too strong. Closes the distance, enters the clinch and ragdolls him

Whittaker: If a ~205 lb Romero with not-the-best striking could wobbles him multiple times, a 235 lb Fedor would send him packing

Answer is no, Fedor was a giant killer in his prime, he relied on speed, which he doesn't really have against the majority of the middle weights.

He's still a lot slicker and A LOT more powerful. None of these guys, except maybe Romero, would stand a chance in the clinch, or against his shots.

I wondered if you were retarded in another thread. Now, I feel retarded for even wondering.

I thought they made the "fantasy matchup" subforum for such threads.

No. Romero as the first fight would be hell. I think Fedor would eventually starch him but that isn't going to be a 2 minute fight.
Luke could potentially keep Fedor at range for a long time making it a long night for Fedor trying to get inside.
Kelvin would probably get submitted quick.
Jacare has the best chance as his finishing moves could catch anyone at anytime.
Israel is a bit too light for Fedor not to walk thru his range and get lit up inside.

I think the reality is that the game has changed a lot since Fedor's glory days.

I find myself asking if Anderson Silva would have truly beaten Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo Souza, Robert Whittaker or Yoel Romero at times. I think the game just evolves, and therefore I wouldn't be surprised if even "Prime Fedor" lost to some of those names. Fedor was unique because he genuinely had everything, good wrestling, good ground skills and pretty solid hands. With all those points made, so do most of the guys you just mentioned, those skills are no longer a complete rarity, being well rounded is now fairly common.

Fedor will always be one of the GOATs, but all those comical exhibition style fights take away from his legacy and do not add to it. Don't brag about his ground skills when he's submitting Hong Man Choi.

Remember the 2nd Coleman fight? Fedor stuffs all Romero's takedowns and starches him
Souza- Do you think Souza's got anything for Fedor that Big Nog didn't? Souza is in every way inferior to prime Big Nog, realistically
Rockhold- Luke uses a style similar to CroCop's, but is inferior. Add his boxing weakness and no one punch KO power, and Fedor walks through him
