I know im being rediculous but im bored so just entertain the thought lol

What if Dana didnt like the way things change with the new owners, does he have the ability to rival the UFC? Im not asking if he will leave im asking if he has enough power to sway the people?

A lot of people on here dont seem to like Dana but with his work ethic on promotion and being the face of MMA i think he could. It would be tough, but i think if he took some talent with him he would have a shot to at least take the monopoly from the UFC.

I foresee Dana leaving the UFC and building up a new multi-trillion dollar corporation with your mother.

Joking

NCC (non compete clause)
Most likely the people who paid 4 billions have taken it into consideration

No way! Unless all the fighters leave with him. That will never happen tho

I doubt he ever made many decisions or knows what Lorenzo and their lawyers did the last years. He is more a symbol.

If he does, it would be in Bellator or one of the other bigger promotions.. They could use his fame for a couple of years.

He has a juicy contract and an ownership stake. Why the fuck would he or could he start another company? Maybe if he got into conflict in a decade.

Definitely he was the UFC until Chuck and Tito came along.

UFC has more money, the biggest PPV stars in the sport, the best staff, the best janitors and probably the best paper-clips compared to any other MMA organization

Dana ain't leaving them paper-clips behind to gamble on some smaller organization

As others said, he would have a non-compete
As others didn't say ... WME is Dana's agent.
They obviously love Dana so Dana should be happy with the new regime

Imagine that...Dana has his $300 million or whatever after this deal, so now he's just gonna fuck with shit out of boredom. First, he quits his new job, and gives up all his stock in the company, thus getting him out of any contract. Then he starts a fighter union. Becomes the fighters #1 friend to demand more money for fighters. If the new UFC heads balk, he brings the new Fighter Union to Bellator. Now with all the fighters loving him, he uses his power to push out Bellator ownership and take it over. And then, through sneaky loopholes in contracts that were in place from the beginning, he dissolves the Union. I know there is a million holes in this theory, but it's fun to imagine.

Guaranty his contract with the new owners locks him in with them for a long time and for no other reason that what you are talking about. So doesn't matter what we think the new owners believe it and paid dearly to keep it from happening.

I honestly believed Dana was around to play the bad guy face for Lorenzo's decisions.

Not an MMA company. For whatever reason, UFC is synonymous with MMA in the western world. Hell I think it is only recently that the general public in America realized MMA was the sport and UFC was the brand. That "He trains UFC" joke exists for a reason
