Could a UFC fighter defeat a kangaroo..

They give you something to think about with their claws if you get in close. Plus the explosive A+ level athletic ability of having a tail means holding them down or on to a neck would be a challange.

They have poor side to side movement, if you step off to the side and round arm (clothesline) there easy to knock over or put of balance. Once you grab there tail or pin them there fucked.

Bro. I respect your sherdog skills but these mofos sit on their tail and spring off of it. Try a TD on a 6 ft 3 legged marsupial is more like it. You ain't pinning shit

We had a big grey hanging aroud Our property a few years back that wasn't afraid of humans or dogs and would instergate shit all the time. Needless to say it was dispatched with.

The big boys get nasty around breeding season, I can sit on my front porch and watch them box it in paddocks most nights.
Forget one against a human. I wanna see one battle it out with one of the black bears I have tearing up my patio furniture and trash every other nite. Strength vs agility.

Kangaroo would gut that bitch in the stand up.
Have you seen that death toe they have?

I still want to know what that kangeroo was doing or going to do with that dog he had by the neck before he got punched by the crazy AUS in the video. He didn't want to let it go

They can jump as far as 15 feet per hop and can maintain full speed (around 30 mph) for over a minute.

15 feet? Nah they go much much further

The longest jump by a kangaroo occured during a chase in New South Wales, Australia in January 1951, when a female red kangaroo made a series of bounds including one measuring 12.8 m (42 ft).3 ( guineas book of records )

They can jump 10 foot high.

A red kangaroo can reach speeds of over 35 miles an hour. Their bounding gait allows them to cover 25 feet in a single leap and to jump 6 feet high. Female red kangaroos are smaller, lighter, and faster than males.

Kangaroos have horrible striking defence. Sure their tail makes them have very good TDD. But I feel like a dude like Ngannou is a nightmare matchup for Kangaroo. Francis will find that chin one time and it’ll be over. Kangaroo doesn’t keep his hands up at all.

That death toe won’t be a problem either, it will be counted as a weapon by the athletic commission. They’ll probably make Kangaroo cut it off or encase it in some kind of shred resistant shoe.

Only if he's Australian

Kangaroo v Mark Hunt would go the distance that’s for sure

Same here.

Hopefully one of our Aussie friends will tell us.

Great thread. Learning more about their fighting skills.

Also. If anyone would be so kind as to propose the ideal game plan vs. Kanga in an octagon it would be appreciated.

They spring forward and back, there body's are built for explosive forward movements, not moving moving in a side to side motion.

It wouldn't even be a fight, the kangaroo would be prey. They use to breed roo dogs down here for hunting and 2 of them would take down a big roo without much hassle, I don't think they'd do well against a black bear.

Next question: Can you blow these things away whenever you want? Or is there seasons for that?

Yes. Hunting Kangaroo's is encourage where I live on the south east coast. They are a massive pain in the arse if you hit them in your car, more often that not its a full right off. The local government pay hunters to cull the numbers and registered gun owners can shoot them on private property and approved national park lands.
