Could A Flyweight Ever Be Considered "Baddest Man On The Planet"?

Baddest man on the planet means you can beat anyone else on the planet in a 1v1 without weapons. Baddest man on the planet != p4p

I consider them to be one of the more skilled weight classes but size matters up to a point

could you ever consider a guy as tall as your kid sister to be a "bad motherfucker" or the "baddest man on the planet"? <{yahyou}>

or are phrases like that only used for heavyweights? guys you could actually make the argument for that they could beat up anyone on earth in a 1v1 with no weapons <{you!}>
I don't know about now, but once upon a time.

hell no! shouldnt even be a flyweight division, its like watching kids fight

Unless they can beat a heavyweight in a open weight tourny. Then no. That said Royce Gracie was once the baddest man on the planet. As well as other non HW.'s. It is possible but not in the Current UFC .

I'd take them in a fight over any average sherdogger.

They'd hit as hard, or harder in most cases.

They can continue to keep hitting you because an average sherdogger would gas in 1 min, unlike them having elite cardio.

They are naturally much faster, and would easily outstrike people who have little to no striking ability.

The only thing a fatass sherdogger would be able to do is use their weight to crush them if they're in the SHW weight range.

Size can make a difference, but given the ability of an average sized person with no training, i'd take the tiny fighter over them every day. Maybe they don't KO them, but they'd beat them until they're pissing blood and begging to stop.

What would be more impressive?
If Francis Ngannou beat up 3 235lbs guys at the same time in a bar fight?
Or
If some Flyweight (in street clothes) beat up 3 185lbs guys at the same time in a bar fight?
..bobbing and weaving with like 3 precision jabs…

I’d vote the latter

It's more impressive, until when when Ngannou straight up EAT the flyweight dude for the proteins

I mean a guy in the kids weight can be considered the baddest of all time, why can't a flyweight?

Tbh MM was the perfect 125'er. If another 125'er gets this title it's going to feel wrong cause this community did that man dirty to the point he was willing to move to Asia so he didn't have to beg people for appreciation.

I think 125 is one of the most exciting divisions cause people that light can do all sorts of crazy shit other people simply can't do. P4P number one for sure, but P4P exists for a reason and I think generally the baddest man on the planet will be over 170. Historically in MMA the baddest man has been a LHW or MW as the HW talent pool has been very shallow. But if MMA got the talent pool boxing had in the mid 20th century HW champ would always be the baddest man on the planet.

No, since they are literally hundreds of thousands of people on eath who could smash them (heavier wrestlers, heavier judo guys, way heavier boxers and kickboxers, a shit load of mma fighters, maybe even some rugbu and football players etc.)

If you ask me, right now the baddest man on the planet is Petr Yan, and he's in a weight class just ten pounds heavier. Hell, why not?

125 could at some point very well end up being as stacked and competitive as 135, and some crazy badass superstar could arise and be king.

Yan couldn't even beat the last ranked MW in the Cage Warrior promotion. Weightclasses exist for a reason.
