Costco or Sams Club?

Where do rich people buy pork shoulder or brisket?

I go to Costco for All My Wagyu Beef.

Oh ive been to that bjs. Why would anyone compare a restaurant to Costco/Sams Club?
He's trying to be kewl and clever.

I think there's a similar wholesale type club store called BJ.

Do butcher shops even exist anymore?

They do in Montreal.

They range from "I hope this doesn't poison me" to "holy crap people pay this much for meat?".

Grocery stores can have really good butchers as well.

Sams club is usually less packed than the Costco by my house and the line for their gas is never long.

I still prefer Costco though

When I had money I would shop at farms or online sources, especially ones that raised specialty breeds. Now I pretty much live on dollar store snacks

Costco is more fun to shop in and has a better food court. Sam's Club has better prices.

It's not 1995 anymore though. You don't need to shop at Costco or Sam's Club to get good deals on stuff. Wal Mart and Amazon matches or beats their prices on everything and you don't need to pay a membership fee. But shopping at Wal Mart kinda sucks and Amazon isn't fun because it's online, so I really think you're paying membership fees in 2019 not to save money, but for the experience. So I'd go for Costco.

I've never been to a Sam's Club because there aren't any in Canada, but I know Costco well, and the quality at Costco is really good. I was pleasantly surprised about this the first time I did a big shop there. There's a competing membership-only warehouse club not called Sam's Club in my community, and it's so much worse than Costco I don't know how it stays in business.

Looking to join one. Mostly to buy meats for smoking, grilling etc...... also the occassional tv and other things. I have one of each about the same distance away from my house. Does anyone have a preference or reasons why one is better than the other?
Home Depot or Lowe's?

Literally the same store.

Literally the same store.
Home Depot is grungy and poorly lit with employees that look like they don't want to help you find stuff. Lowe's is well lit and seems kept neater.

Costco's Kirkland liquor brands are also surprisingly good for the money. Their scotch is blended from very high end scotch producers. They buy the barrels that aren't actually bad, they just don't fit the flavor profile that particular distiller is going for. They are able to buy it and sell it for far less than comparable scotch.
