I want to compete in as many tournaments and attend as many seminars as possible but I don't make that much and traveling makes it that much worse. I was hoping someone here might have some good fundraising ideas to help raise money for a few guys from my team and I to make majority of these events.

    any ideas please...

got a blue belt or above?

Get a bunch of friends that want to train but are too cheap to go to a real academy...

Teach them a bunch of shit for like..$5 a month or $5 a lesson or something ridiculously cheap.

That way you get to drill more, so you're getting better, you get to practice coaching and teaching, which may help you in the future, and while it's a really small amount of money you'd be making(because you are just doing some fund raising, not trying to get rich) it might pay for gas to travel...or for the tournament itself.

I've been pondering this myself, but I'd feel weird asking people for money to get taught by a blue belt. I just get together with some friends, show them some techniques, roll a bit, and advertise my instructors academy...I feel that it will help my instructor's business, and the fact that I am showing techniques to people really makes me focus on all the details to an extent that I wouldn't otherwise.
