Coronavirus - How is your work handling it?

UPS. In Albuquerque. They even bringing us in early cause volume is picking up cause of online shopping.
Oh snap you work for UPS. I work for UPS in Los Angeles. Are you a driver?

I mainly work from home and my sales have dropped about 75% over the last few weeks.

Pretty good actually. When work shut down on Monday I became an Instagram model, an influencer and a thot.

I work in an outpatient psychiatric hospital so I am still coming into work although I will be getting remote access to work from home probably today or Monday. My wife and I both work in health care so our jobs are safe

Everyone working from home from today.
Casual staff no longer working.

I'm in the Military, it feel like business as usual but with less Civilians walking around base.

@Smokes you know our company doesn't give a shit about our health and safety. You bring up an issue and they take two months for them to do anything about. I'm on disability atm, but my friends tell me there is a soap shortage in the rest rooms. And you know damn well there is no social distancing at the sort aisle.

If you could do me a huge favor, let me know how your local title companies are handling it

It's been business as usual so far, not many cases in SD at all. A few of the smaller local ones are talking about tele-closings but we're still working all that out

Oh I know. They still doubling up trailers and have people working right on top of each other. We had a scare at the hub yesterday. A guy came in sick with a cold but no Cova and they were trying to let him work until the people on his belt threw a fit and made them send him home. Everyone was pissed that they let him in the hub and let him work til break.

they sent everyone, aside from security, home this past tuesday from my company. i work for a big company, and i think it's a company-wide mandate as well, which is mind-blowing. i have no idea how my company is going to make up for the losses.

So you’re the king of dukes city. Is your wife unreasonably hot and her demented father lives in your basement?

Last year there was a pinkeye outbreak and 7 people got infected because the lead supervisor didn't want to send patient zero home. I would not be surprised if there is multiple people that get infected in the hub and they don't close the building down. It's all about the bottom line with these fucks.

I have an epidural scheduled for the 30th, but I'm calling the clinic later and rescheduling for a later date. I don't want to go back to work when they expect covid19 to get worse. I'll probably get a call from my claims adjuster on why I rescheduled. I have an 85yr old that stays with me and I'm gonna do my best to not get her infected.

Pharma here.

Production didn't stop, everyone who has a laptop is at home. Management and Maintenance are taking turns. Every other stuff that isn't related to the production was cancelled.

The company my wife works for doesn't give a shit and will only stop if obliged, and they have a confirmed case.

Haha. She was way to hot for Doug's fat ass.
the real question is what happened to your wifes sister. she was hot as fuggggg and we only saw her couple of times... then you fools just move on and never mention her again... Shit, bitch could be up in the west mesa for all we know!

Non-essential personnel are trying to find work to do from home. Essential workers are still going to work but trying to minimize contact and do phone follow up appointments when possible.

I work in public healthcare as a physio. My team primarily works with orthopedic patients so we've shut down everything for two weeks and are working from home, giving advice over the phone when possible and doing administrative work. We do however have a wing for critically ill patients with various pathologies who are too sick to go home after the hospital and live at the place temporarily. So there's still a small group of people who are doing physical therapy with them there as they will simply die if they don't get it. Flipside is that if they get sick, it's extremely dangerous for them too, so everything is highly regulated and isolated.

Im still getting paid and wont be at risk of losing my job though, the government is taking care of us right now. However private business, even with the government covering 75% of their expenses, will most likely have to let some people go.

Service industry. Totally out of work. Had setbacks a little over a year ago and had to spend lots of my savings.

Long story short... I'm entirely screwed and selling stuff to pay the bills here for next month.

Below are our new practices. This seems to be the norm in our area.

Closings

-We will still be conducting closings. When possible, we will be contacting all parties to see if mail away is possible. If mail away is possible, we can send documents via email to be returned via email. With each set of docs mailed, we will explain where to sign the documents and we’ll always be available to explain the docs via phone or email. Some of these documents may need notarized. If the buyer/seller has access to a notary via work or another method, we’d ask that they use that notary. If we are not restricted by the lender’s guidelines, we will ask that documents are emailed back. If guidelines say that we need originals, we will send a return fed ex label.

-In the event that mail away is possible but the buyer/seller does not have access to a notary, we will ask that they sign documents at home. Upon completion of signing, we’d ask they deliver the documents to our office. At that point, we’ll confirm their signature and notarize the documents. Although this isn’t perfect as we still will have contact with the customer and documents, it does limit exposure.

-We realize that many customers do not have access to a printer or do not want to handle a closing this way. For those closings, we will still conduct in-person closings. We ask that only essential signers attend any in-person closing. It is my understanding that it is not required for realtors to be at closing during this time as long as they are available for contact via phone or other methods. Please note that we are cleaning all areas of the office with disinfectant and we have hand sanitizer on site at the closing table.

-As we all know, this is an industry where many items do not become available until the last minute. Due to this, mail away may not always be possible. If we have not reached out to you to accommodate mail away, it is because we do not feel it is feasible and will disrupt the closing process.

Title Work + Recordings

-As many of you know, the courthouse is closed to the public which includes title companies. Please note that we do maintain a title plant which is a database of all recorded documents. Due to this, we have a unique advantage to where our search capabilities are not impacted on most jobs. The only title work jobs that we cannot get out would be very complicated jobs where access to the courthouse is necessary to reduce liability.

-We have now started e-recording. Transfer of deeds, recording of mortgages, payment of taxes, etc. are not affected

Special Circumstances

-We understand these policies and practices are not convenient for everyone. If you have any concerns, please contact us and we will try to work with you and your customer. The goal here is to limit exposure to protect our office, your employees, your clients, and any other party involved in a closing.

-As we’ve all seen, advice on precautions changes daily. This is a very fluid situation. We will be reaching out if new policies are put into place.

-We will still be maintaining 8-4:30 hours, however, # of employees in the office will vary as we are also working from home or opting to work after hours. We should always have one in the office during hours.

Please note that I only sent this to one person in each office. Please distribute to any members of your office that you believe this will affect.

If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call. Stay safe out there.
