The median wage in America per person is $26,695, I'm sure they can just go watch Netflix for 14 days no problem. This is why self quarantine can never work. I highly doubt that even people who can afford to stay home for two weeks will honor a quarantine. Americans are almost recklessly independent, and while it has always been one of our greatest qualities it has also bred an inherent sense of "I don't deserve this," or "Some virus isn't gonna tell me how to run my life," so they will try to go about their daily lives as they normally do, anyone else be damned. It's a level of selfishness that most people aren't even aware they possess because Depression-era folks are rapidly dying off and we have never had to suffer as a people through things like war or famine, not in any real sense.

I'm not sure anyone really knows anything about it at this point. They are still arguing with each other about the way it transmits, about the incubation period, about reinfection, they don't seem to actually know a gdamn thing about this virus other than "it spreads easily."

100% correct which is why I fear its spread in the U.S. may be worse than in other countries. I know people who are saying they are in no way ever going to self quarantine, or stop going to work, and I even have some friends that have said if they think they have Covid-19 they will not be reporting to a doctor for fear of quarantines. If it ever catches on in the U.S. and takes off we are going to feel the full brunt of the virus.

He does not have to wear a military uniform but have experience in medical activities at scale. Military has people who have years of experience in overseas actions such as ebola and other similar issues.
