Did anyone find Cormier's input refreshing?

I think Rogan and Goldberg have always struggled to communicate with each other in any natural way.
Goldberg has always been abysmal, I have a soft spot for the coke sniffing autist but he is like homer Simpson in that in any other country he wouldn't have a well paid job.
Rogan is really over the top.

Anyone else find Cormier's presence a relief from the eye peeling agony that is Roberg?

Cormier, Cruz, Stann, are all better than Rogan and Goldberg.

It was a nice change of pace from Goldberg's idiocy and Rogan's redundancy.

It was really generic and boring, but it made for some hilariously awkward moments anytime Jones and the LHW title was brought up

I'd even like Frank Mir with them. Last night made me miss the 3-man booths when Randy would join them.

It was fun. Rogan and DC seemed to have a lot of fun and it seemed Rogan was thrilled to have someone there that wasn't a complete idiot.

I think Rogan can be a lot better when he's with someone who gives a fuck and isn't just regurgitating the same mindless vomit for every fight and event like Mike does.

I liked it but I think some people might find him too distracting. Rogan had to refocus the conversation on the fight several times, I really don't expect it to last.

He did good, I enjoy Rogan and Goldberg too. Its always hilarious.

They should add a 3rd though, a fighter. Yves Edwards, Mir, Florian, Or Stann would be great.

Its always nice to see the fight from knowledgeable fighters point of view. Goldberg just says what is happening on screen and some lines he memorized about the fighter before the fight, "embrace the grind" , etc. Also goldberg just shills ads which is kinda annoying especially in ppvs, I feel like they should only focus on fights during fight time. Joe does provide some insight but its quite limited and seems quite repetitive, for the hype moments joe is good tho. It would be great to have some coaches and fighters give insight instead you would feel like you learned more.

He was absolutely terrible during the Jones fight. Was freaking out everytime OSP threw a punch, sounded like a man who has been Son'd and was hoping and praying he didn't have to face Jones.

Surely it was not as boring as the normal play by play. The fight was pretty awful, I would have just groaned for 25 minutes if I was announcing.

exactly what I thought.

i was impressed by how coherent he was on the fly, especially considering all the hype between him and jones

worth realising that this guy is the wrestling coach to guys like cain, rockhold and khabib, so i guess he's spent a lot of time commenting on fighters performances in real time in the gym, breaking stuff down and shouting instruction...its pretty damn impressive to me, i was surprised by how slick he was

He did some prelim stuff too, which wasn't really too great either

Other than the fact that the guy could barely contain himself any time OSP did any fucking thing at all. I thought he was pretty good.

I mean the radio announcers of local sports teams are Homers. But holy fuck, man.

I like the guy and he actually said many flattering things about Jones. But does the phrase " conflict of interests " ring any bells ?

If you want a 3rd voice. Spring for free booze, airfare, and accommodations. I bet Mike Tyson can be persuaded to sign up for those minor perks.

Tell me the comedic value isn't worth a few thousand dollars.

That fucking Bellator card was easily the most entertainment I've EVER derived just from the announcers.

exactly what I thought.
To add to that, Mike has his place but it should be limited to promos and advertisements. Ads should be limited to a certain time though, and they should cut to Mike to do his promos and then cut him out when he's done. To have Mike spewing a promo during a big moment in the fight and Joe can't talk about the fight, that's frustrating to listen to. Mike should not be at the commentary table. He contributes literally NOTHING to any fight.

I thought he was annoying, and way too biased in the Jones fight. Stann is awesome, would love to hear more from him or even Hardy.

Totally fine not hearing Cormier call a fight again, though maybe it would be different if he didn't have to call his big brother's fight.
