I like Daniel Cormier, but he will never be seen as the true champion, he will always be seen as the 'Default champion', the champ because Jones is a dickhead

He didn't lose to Jones several times, it got blown the fuck out several times

Volkan has almost no proper profile.

I don't feel any hype for this fight

Look.

Cornier is still one of the best fighters in the whole MMA.
Beating him is a huge huge task.

And you WILL feel the hype if Volkan somehow wins,
 
Yeah should be a good fight, kinda wanted Gus vs DC 2 instead tho. I think DC will get the win so maybe that's next.
 
Jones has fought four times since 2013. One was overturned because he's a cheater, and three UD borefests

If you don't feel DC has earned his undisputed LHW title then just delete this thread and your account. No one can help you.

I care. A lot. Why wouldn't you care? It's an awesome test for both. DC needs to walk a title validation path, and volkan needs to prove he is a legit contender.
It's great fun and high stakes matchmaking.
 
Yeah. DC should win but he's getting older and is over-confident.

Not massively. I think DC wins comfortably. Neither are the real champion.
 
Can hardly dismiss Cormier as not a true Champion. He's beat EVERYONE not named Jon Jones. Defended the belt multiple times. Has beat ranked HW'S.

Jones has a question mark after that last win. His body looked jacked compared to prior fights. Has a positive test for real PEDs. Was a NO Contest. So Jones has one win over DC.

There's been a number of Champions over the years who've had losses and multiple losses by one fighter or another .. Does that make them less a Champ? My feeling is, you make it to the top, defend the Title, then you are a True Champion. Many get there can never defend . Other side of the coin. Doesn't matter how you get your title shot.. If you get it, take advantage ,win. Great. If you can defend that belt thwn you are a True Champion.

Yes excited for this fight.. Don't know how a person can't be if they love MMA. Two guys with big power that can KO someone with one strike. A Challenger who's running through everyone . What's not to like?

Who cares about " hype for a fight"? Plenty of overhyped cards and fights have turned out to be crap. Hype does shit in the cage.

This has all the makings to be a great fight.

He got caught with a head kick ONCE. The other fight was close as hell. Gtfo with this “several times” nonsense. ‘Several’ means three or more.

on the opposite, I thinkit's jones people don't care about anymore.
however spectacular, what he did to DC is irrelevant as he was cheating.
DC is the champ, deal with it.
