C'mon now, AKA was staying silent in the hopes Jones screwed up the rematch instead by getting the fight cancelled because of the cop situation and when they found out the fight was still on and that they wouldn't be able to blame Jon, they pulled from the fight 3 weeks out..

If Jon doesn't fight April 23rd, I'm going to just die I swear

Most threads I see people like "yay AJ v JBJ!!" not realizing that is in no way guaranteed I can see Jackson's not want to take AJ on short notice and this fight get resceduled for 200.. Sigh

Hopefully everything falls into place for Jones v Johnson, I mean Jon's been reinstated since October, I'm beyond ready to see him fight!

Edit: I'm not saying DC isn't really injured! Of course I think he is, he trains at AKA ffs, I'm simply stating how badly this sucks tbh

Yea all those facts you have to support this claim really makes DC look like a deer in the headlights.
 
Probably waited to hear if Jones would be pulled from the fight, so he could do the "you see; he's bad I'm good, love me people, hate him" bit he does to gain some fans.

no point him pulling out injured, if Jon was going to pull out with legal troubles

So he waited to see if Jon was going to have to pull out, before he did.

I would have done the same thing, if youve got a chance to blame it on the other guy, blame it on the other guy
 
He knew he was going to get his ass kicked again. I believe Connor McGregor will find an excuse too before the second fight vs Dias, I am seeing this to happen.
 
At least he did not try to set Jones up to face a short notice opponent that was secretly training for him, like that felon and racist Sonnen, and Hendo.
 
Well, if it's true, an intelligent fan should realise Cormier's actions would be shaped by knowing how fucking ridiculously MMA fans would react. You know people would be claiming ducking and bullshit like that In fact it has already happened. MMA fans are complete fucking women sometimes.
 
DC was reported being seen at a wrestling event unable to put any pressure on one foot a while ago, he has had a while to announce it.

Shows how much he respects guys booking flights and shit to go see him live.

It may be obvious to a 21 yr old woman. However, it's anything but obvious to me.

Or are you one of those ppl that's NEVER been injured ? You know... Twist an ankle, bash your hand with a hammer, any one of a million different things.

Let's say it's Friday night... You have work, or a game Monday. Do you just call up your boss and say you're not going to be able to work Monday ? Do you immediately withdrawal from the game Monday night ?

Or like myself, do you give it until at least Sunday night to see how the injury feels.

You're doing way too much assuming.

He definitively knew he coulnd't fight, Cain did the same shit before.
 
I don't know the extent of DC's injury's, but making a play to have JJ vs AJ eliminate, or a set up for 200 is not a bad move, for many reasons. That's "if" the supposed injury is being blown out of proportion.

He made this showing last week so he could show everyone his leg was fucked. He had to advertise it first I suppose.

Conor is a lot of things, but he's not one to pull out of fights. Two of his last three fights were on short notice with guys who posed big problems for him. With his stock as high as it was, he could've pulled out of both and nobody would've questioned him. He ain't pulling out with a full camp fight for Diaz. He's a risk/reward guy and he wants that loss avenged.
 
1) explains why DC didn't trash jones for getting pulled over and jeopardizing the fight.
2) DC probably sent that cop to pull over jones and told him to slap jones with 5 tickets to violate jones probation.
 
Yerah they waited to see if Jones couldnt fight and then they would have announced it
