Cormier / jones head games

Cormier seems to be letting jones taunts get to him. They both seem these sort that can't bear to lose and therefore they both go at eachother head on as if letting it slide would eat them up

But Cormier seems to be losing his shit over jones tweets and comments

It seems to be it would be better "psych warfare" for Cormier to just literally ignore it like don't respond at all.

I don't get why he can't just ignore it, stay off social media etc

He's backing himself up mentally into a bad place

I don't think there's any elaborate head games or mental jousting going on here.

They just fucking hate each other and are very vocal about it

DC is very emotional, and Jones probably likes the fact he gets into his head. is not like Jones likes being like that but i bet he loves how DC feels when he bullies him emotionally...Shame on DC. goes to show some of those guys have zero mental toughness. Maybe Cloner's antics have some background with them...if you can make your opponent mad and emotional, why not ?

Dc is an emotional guy. he's not fedor. or the diaz brothers. he lets things get to him. It's his nature, he can't help it. The diaz brothers seem to fight better angry or so it seems.

I order to get so mad about it, you have to be emotionally connected. you can't deny DC hates Jones so much that the hate is already part of him. and for those who think hating someone does any good to a person...think again, Jones is basically bullying DC and probably doesn't give a fuck about him after the fight is over. But DC is going to cry himself to sleep about it for a long time.

IMHO the issue os that DC vehemently thinks he is the one in better standing.
He does the proper things, does not get drunk, get in trouble, etc.

The problme is that Jon is just poking fun.
He does not listen to DC's responses in the same way DC does.
Hence why DC gets aggravated and that feeds Jon's ego and that aggravates DC even more...

If DC could remain quiet, Jon would not have that to feed on, and probably would stop.

Cormier seems to have really thin skin (especially for a fat man) and by his own admissions let Jones get in his head last fight and seems to be letting it happen again. And Jones isn't even a great trash talker but his come back was classic, "you mad bro".

Pretty accurate I think. The only other aspect in play here is the fact that the more drama they both stir up, the more money they make when they do fight. Both know this, it definitely is a motivating factor in all of this.

Jones reminds DC of them horrible awkward years in high school being pushed inside stinky lockers, wedgee pulls or hangs from those stinky lockers, not being looked at by the popular girlz who only go out with guys like Jon tall & athletically built. One day he'll show them he swore, he'll show them all he yelled into his bathroom mirror. Fast forward to the present....
