Stipe is overrated in the sense that he's not as good as DC. The only person ever at DCs level has been Jon Jones, and even that's not a given at HW. DC, Stipe, Jon, and Gus destroy anyone Fedor has beaten. Prime Nog got body-bagged by Frank Mir and Cro Cop got wrecked by Gonzaga. AA and Sylvia were nothing special. With that said. Stipe was a good fighter but was overrated when they tried to hype him as elite. He simply isn't.

Dumb comment from someone who did not understand what happened to Stripe. He was caught it happens to the best look at GSP, Fedor, Anderson Silva and others. MMA likely more then any other sport it's hard to come out every-time and have the perfect fight. Stipe up to now had the longest run as heavyweight champion VS the likes of Werdum, Francis Ngannou, Mark Hunt, Alistair Overeem and Arlovski. Some of these guys where at the top of their games when he fought them. So to say he's not elite is really dumb. GSP went on a tear after his loss and I expect that Stipe will recover from this loss and refocus on his training and improving his standup.

Stipe didn't face the best competition but it wasn't his fault. He was still a great champ and imo he was winning the fight with DC he was even out wrestling him and had him against the fence until he got caught.

Yes, HW is weak and has been for a while. The top 5 are like 40 year olds who aren't even in their prime. Basically the HW division of 5 years ago, except everybody is 5 years older. No new blood, no new contenders, outside of Ngannou.
