Cormier/Gus R3 and Cormier/Rumble R1

Both against DC, wasn't Rd 3 the round that Gus was on the verge of TKO'ing him? DC has took some really big shots in his last 2 fights.

Correct.

both against Cormier, the Rumble one is a little closer, but you have to work pretty hard to overcome a knockdown imo

I don't think any of those was a 10-8.
Haven't watched those in a while though.

Neil Magny got knocked down in R2 vs Hector Lombard and Sherdog still scored him the round:

Sherdog Scores
Jordan Breen scores the round 10-7 Magny
Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-8 Magny
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-7 Magny

Though all 3 judges scored it 10-9.

Too bad for TS that one round doesn't constitute a fight.

Round 1 to Rumble
And Round 3 to DC (DC got up very quickly from that knee and won most of the rest of the round)

If you give round 3 to DC vs Gus then you must have given Gus round 4 against Jones (winning the round until 'rocked' last minute by hellbow)

Well, but he did work hard to get that result. He mauled Hector.

Cormier got up immediately from that knee. Gustafsson was all over the place from the elbow, even if he still managed to defend a TD, and I recall Round 4 between Gus and Jon as being closer than Round 3 between DC/Gus. Could be wrong. But I remember scoring it that way at the time.

According to fightmetric total strikes for Round 3 were 45 for Cormier and 34 for Gustafsson. Total strikes in Round 4 of Jones/Gus was 28 Jones, 26 Gus.

I think both go to DC.

All Rumble did was land one punch in the whole round.

DC took over after that. This isn't boxing.

And DC was beating Gus' ass until he got dropped.

Dude you are so far out on this one. Gustafsson wasn't all over the place, he was rocked yeah, but he wasn't as badly hurt as Cormier otherwise he would have been dropped, which he didn't get.

Round 4 between Jones vs Gus was all Gus, watch the fight again and you'll see Jones got in desperation mode when Gus landed combination after combination. Then Jones hit his spinning elbow with like 1 minute left.

With that being said, DC had round 3 until Gus dropped him.

And you are probably one of those guys who scores round 4 in Jones vs Gus to Jones, that's why I can't take you seriously.

If you score it for Jones, there is no way in hell you won't score it for Gus in his fight vs DC.

This is the problem, especially when talking about Gus vs Jones. People are so biased when talking about their favorite fighters. Especially when we are talking about Jones, so many people are doing everything to legitimize his "win" over Gus it's absurd.

I'm a huge Gus fan but there is no way he won that fight over DC, no way in hell.
