DC actually didn't look very good last night and was losing the fight early on. He couldn't even get a takedown on Stipe. I was shocked at how badly he was closing distance (blindly rushing in) and reacting to punches (even turning away). I'm glad Cormier won, as I have always said Stipe is way overrated, but that was actually one of his worst performances. People will remember the KO, but even that came after multiple eye pokes.

Seriously? Seriously?

He started off a little slow but looked great once he got up off the ground. He was starching stipe and rolling with stipes punches. Extremely impressive win imo

No disrespect to Stipe, but that was one of the easiest fights of DC's career.

if he didn't look good, then what recent heavyweight does? The last HW performance that everyone jizzed over was Ngannou over Reem and look how he turned out. Let's face it, this division hasn't evolved since PRIDE, and Cormier ranks among its greatest whether you like him or not.

Are we sure OP isn't a whitebelt that somehow got around the "no white belt threads" rule?

This thread is awfully whitebelt

Knocks out the reigning, defending HW champion.

"His worst performance"

Apparently you didn't actually read what I said. I like Cormier and am glad he won, but he was showing some very poor reacts and tactics, things that can lead to a defeat. That won't happen against Lesnar, as he has a very simple gameplan, but against good fighters.

DC didn't immediately come out and dominate Stipe from the first 5 seconds so he looked really bad in his first round steamrolling of the most dominant UFC HW champ in history.

You are so unbelievably salty. Look at his career. It speaks for itself. He has never been in trouble, ever, except from Jones and Gustafsson. Why is it so surprising that he won?

The level of stupidity in this post is unrivaled.

Eh, modern sherdog. Completely ignore the context of the post and ignore any flaws a fighter showed and only focus on the last 2 seconds of the fight.
