Gus is the same height and shares relatively close physical characteristics as Stipe, with worse wrestling and arguably worse boxing - at least when it comes to power.

Gus almost won the fight, but decided to continuously engage in clinching with Cormier, which I believe was his undoing in the later rounds. Gus landed quite a few shots that if haven come from Stipe, could have arguably ended Cormier's night.

Cormier is also older than when he was versus Gus, father time is the true GOAT in MMA.

Aside from the fight being contested at 205, someone convince me why Cormier will have more success versus Stipe than he did Gus.

Overeem is one of the deadliest, most accurate and vicious strikers in HW. Just because his chin is shot doesn’t mean that he couldn’t put anyone’s lights out with the right shot.
